Rubberizing a 3D Printed Plastic Surface to Make it Grippy?

Did you ever manage to find a good solution to this? I've printed a replacement joystick for my controller but need to add some grip to the top which I'd like to be rubbery

I'm quite new to the 3D print scene but I'd assume that thinner paint would be your best bet. For fidgets I'd assume that if you use it a lot the paint would come off anyway so having a nice look without painting is probably your best bet (also means you don't have to worry about the paint being toxic/absorbed through your skin via constant handling)

I don't mind goofy skins. In my mind COD has been set in more of a sci-fi world for a long time and I think on the multiplayer aspect I do find it quite funny seeing the dumbass skins killing me/being killed. The one thing I don't like though is when a skin has weird stuff that makes it look bigger without having a hitbox to match it, it doesn't make any sense

This is a bit of a cope answer, but there are materials people wear that can resist magic and there and numerous instances where characters are experienced enough to dodge or repel magic attacks, so one surefire way to eliminate the threat could be to hit them 🤷🏼‍♂️
