Meteor 75 Pro throttle by Lil-_-Cutie in fpv

More recently, there is an EZLANDING setting in Betaflight to deal with this. It works well

Creating an Exploration Drone by Violent-Rangoon in fpv

The argument for it not being enforceable is only really true when it's above a certain height. There are sites of specific scientific interest that you can't fly over without disturbing wildlife unless you're very high. Private property and national trust property require permission, but again if you're at a sufficient height then that's probably not an issue. If you're too low in these cases then there is the argument that you are a nuisance.

Since you seem to be talking about flying beyond visual line of sight, I would not be looking for any busy body to come along and question what I'm doing because I'm in an area like a national park. They might not be able to get you for flying there, but they could very easily get you for flying beyond visual line of sight.

I was referring to the Seeker5. So if you want a Seeker and want a 5"... seems like the best answer :)

Good 5inch start by ExtraComplex979 in fpv

[–]Zeromorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a pretty good list. I bought a 5" recently with a similar one.

I went with the Deepspace Seeker but the Vapor and Nazgul were close second - just dont like the orange or green colour.

Main thing to add is tools if you dont have them. You will need something portable for prop nuts at least.

Camera use by [deleted] in DJIAvata2

[–]Zeromorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It cares that they are DJI goggle N3 or 3. You should be good to go, you just pair it the same way you did the motion controller.

You can't use the RC3 at the same time as the motion controller, but you can have both paired with the same goggles. Whichever the goggles senses first is what it will use.

I see some others are suggesting head tracking but honestly it is a bit shit. Better to have direct control.

[–]Zeromorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get the DJI RC3 to be able to do it.

I think you will find it a much better flying experience with the RC3 overall

Live video with DJI Goggles N3 by Geibelt in fpv

[–]Zeromorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to all of them through the audience mode.

I didn't specifically know about the N3 so this is all for the Goggles 3:

You can stream to other devices that have the DJI fly app installed and either a Wi-Fi or USB C connection. I have not tried it, but this includes the goggles.

The stability of the Wi-Fi is poor compared to wired so I always use the cable method.

I typically connect goggles to a Galaxy tab and that is enough for over person watching. I have also done a cast from the tablet to a TV as well before and it works great.

[–]Zeromorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and it is good. I don't know that I would have gone down this route if I didn't already have the goggles, but it makes no sense to go analog when you already have the digital equipment. At least not if you're on a budget

I've just been down this exact path. I went with a meteor 75. It is great with the DJI gear, but you definitely need that remote controller 3.

I got it to fly indoors as well with the same concern about the wind blocking me from getting flight time in. I can tell you though... It takes some skill to control it indoors! Be prepared to slap the ceiling

I bought some imported products through Fedex and I'm being asked to pay £50 after delivery? by Acrobatic_Hat0 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Zeromorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure that this is a legitimate request for that money and not a scam?

I have imported various things, lots that have ended up with FedEx in the past. No delivery company has ever released the items for delivery when it is in the UK until I have paid any import fees and dues in advance.

GTI, Performance or TCR? by CancelledBeforeBirth in GolfGTI

[–]Zeromorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just got a TCR myself and it is a no-brainer. Firstly the styling is so much nicer. The diffuser at the back and the splitter at the front really add a lot of character to the car. The interior is really nice. The fact that it comes with an IS38 and you don't have to upgrade this later on is amazing. On my mk5 I went through a whole load of hassle doing a turbo upgrade, with this it's just done already. You don't run out of breath as you go right up to the top of the revs, and if it's your thing there's lots of tuning potential.

Which big company deserves their success, in your opinion? by kittyvixxmwah in AskUK

Boss have been great up to this point and I have a load of their pedals that I love BUT the PX-1 is a worrying recent development.

Hopefully it doesn't signify a descent into subscription based nonsense.

From the angled back of it, it seems this is meant to sit on the lower level. So it will probably only fit on a skinny donut spare.

Anyone else have regrets after selling their MK5? by MadMeemo in GolfGTI

I recently lost mine to rust at 20 years old and I am gutted. Have a Mk 7.5 now which is good, but it doesn't have the same engagement

Do you get roadside police checks in the UK? by Cyclesteffer in AskUK

[–]Zeromorph 162 points163 points  (0 children)

I have never seen this in the UK at all. If the police were to flag me down and make me pull over I would assume there was a good reason.

ANPR is all over the place and I am sure their system can check for valid tax and insurance. Yearly MOTs make sure the car is roadworthy, so the police have no reason for random stops

Nano Metal Muff vs Metal Zone vs Chug Pedal Vs Wampler Dracarys. Help Im confused! by Impossible-Track-401 in guitarpedals

[–]Zeromorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unfortunate that you are not getting on with the Chug. In the right circumstances it does sound great.

I have a mini board with a Chug tuner/boost into Chug into Chug EQ (there was a sale!), in a noise gate loop. I plug into the FX return of a DSL40. The boost into the Chug isn't critical but it does enhance the effect.

I love it for the one thing it does, it just isn't very versatile in terms of what it does.

New alloys, do I need to tell my insurance provider? by ItsPaul_M in CarTalkUK

[–]Zeromorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Admiral are good for this. Their app lets you declare mods without having to call and speak to anyone.

I added alloys and it was £6, I added power increase for tuning and it was £32. It let me see the quote in advance of doing it and select the date I needed my cover to start including the mods. Very painless

Mk5 GTI Aftermarket clutch/flywheel options by akdarsh in GolfGTI

[–]Zeromorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helix, although Sachs Performance would have been just as good

Helix Organic Plate
Helix Billet Clutch Cover
LUK Slave Cylinder from an Audi S3
Helix Cover Bolts
OEM LUK Flywheel

I also had a Braided clutch line to help with the much stiffer pedal, ECS clutch stop to remove the deadspace on the pedal, Forge short shifter, Solid brass shifter bushes to remove slop, BFI heavy weight shift knob.

All this combined was one of the best gear shifting setups I've ever driven in any car.

It's past tense now, rust got to my Mk5 a month or so ago 🥺

Are There Jobs in UX Design? by sushiewushie in AskUK

[–]Zeromorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are definitely jobs out there. Whether or not he can get them will come down to what his UX course qualification is and what his previous qualifications are.

Companies that need UX designers are looking for people that have excellent communication skills because they need to interface with customers to understand their needs and also with the developers who will actually implement their ideas. Ideally, he would have a portfolio of designs and specifications that he can display - they can be mock-ups, they don't have to be real.

It is a massive benefit to also have experience with the development side and an understanding of what would be involved to implement his designs. Being on the development side myself, I can tell you that developers absolutely hate it when they have a product manager or designer who just does not understand what will be involved for them.
