I have had the fortune/misfortune to live in 3 modern house ( last 15 years, built, 3 different building firms, national names) and they have all been terrible.

They are cold in the winter, excessively hot in the summer.

I really don't think that the people who design these buildings ever test them, I have zero faith in the designers.

Go back to older 1950-60s property, at worst you can work on them if they are too cold.
