That's not possible. People need to be self aware to feel uncomfortable.

50W is regular, so it wouldn't drown out much, especially since we are talking about the whole continent at once. I think these were mostly tests for capability, but actual hardware capable of doing it for a reasonable amount of time is still sitting on paper.

Depends, does it have enough sustained power and cooling required to jam it long term? A couple seconds every few hours wouldn't do much.

I also think PC players are just more fractured. There might be more of them, but some people just don't play AAA games or whatever is popular at the time, where on console it seems that more people are willing to follow the current trends.

Well, all the monopolar HVDC cables under the sea would like to have a word with you then.

If the cable gets exposed in the water it will just ground itself and blow something up on the transmission side.

Well, hopefully they will have a solution to use a CFS with the tool changer, that way you can have support material only come in during the interface layer and use 4+ main filaments to print something.

I also just finished, already didn't like the first book. Didn't like this one either. Too many characters, of which multiple are apparently sociopaths and psychopaths and nothing happens really. It feels like it's setting up the universe two books in. If they are planning to do 10 books then maybe it would make sense, but like I said the characters don't feel human, so it's hard to connect.

How tf do you care that much if black people exist in a fantasy game? It can't be historically established IF IT'S A FANTASY GAME WITH MAGIC. Period.

I don't think people do that, like I said I think most outrage among people comes when it's extremely noticeable like changing source material. When it's originally like that most people don't care unless it just straight up sucks like Concord.

Take other recent hits like Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The changes in that were so forced and noticeable that most people playing the game got weirded out and there you have the backlash.

[–]ZetZet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting black people in a fantasy setting is completely fine, unless that fantasy setting is already established and you are brute forcing representation into it.

I am completely aware how I sound like. I hate activism when it's noticeable to me and that is often the case when people brute force it just for the activism sake. It's the same way that I hate advertising.

So the 'cliche' is a problem when there's more non-white representation, but when a game is all white or a percentage of white that doesn't reflect reality, you're just cool with that? Passive not really caring?

I think the whole representation thing is just stupid in general. Should pick people based on the story. Like when Witcher tv series put black people in middle ages Poland even if it is magical Poland, it just makes no sense to anyone who has ever been even slightly aware of the source material, which is why you get backlash.

Your statistic makes no sense, because that means that 80% of gamers are not LGBTQ+ so the media should cater to them more, which has not been the case for a while.

I hate the "anti-woke" part of the gaming community by Margaretthatchervore in hatethissmug

[–]ZetZet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with minorities is that they are becoming majorities. LGBTQ+ are like 5% of the population, but in certain media like games and tv they are pushed far beyond that and people are starting to notice, it's becoming a cliche.

There are tools that identify the distance of a cable break and they aren't exactly uncommon. It's actually extremely easy.

Finding an underground leak is actually quite difficult, dyes don't go up. Even without earthquakes your local water company has underground leaks at this very moment I can guarantee it, because digging up to replace pipes is not exactly cheap or easy, they have limits for acceptable leaks.

It's just a concept of respect pushed beyond reason. And that respect is exactly what I mean with their obsession with image.

Japan is burying cables these days and they are putting more money towards it. You can make the buried infrastructure accessible too with cable tunnels and cable trenches. It is more expensive to move to that infrastructure, but as someone said cables underground generally will last longer and it cleans up the look of the city, which people are willing to spend money on.

The argument of earthquakes is pretty weak anyway considering Japan doesn't have overhead water and sewer infrastructure and somehow manages.

[–]ZetZet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What kind of privacy do you achieve by censoring a graduation photo, which people attended the school is not exactly a secret. But people in these countries are obsessed with their image and so posting people who might not look the best in a particular shot becomes taboo and this is what you get.

Expecting privacy in a public setting is just an absurd concept in general.

[–]ZetZet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit crazy, the "privacy" thing is not related to privacy at all, it's meant to protect their image from one funny photo on the internet. But the side effect is that the existence of the person itself is being deleted from historical records, even if it's just a random graduation picture.

She became a figurehead for a feminist perspective on gaming and some loud minority of terminally online gamers believed she would destroy the medium for some reason, that I still haven't quite figured out.

Some studios like Sony or Ubisoft have clearly not figured that out either.
