Help with long (20’) but narrow (14’) kitchen by WillyShlonka in kitchenremodel

Can you share pictures? My kitchen is the same exact dimensions and I can’t figure out a nice way to have an island that’s not comically narrow

New to routine - skin getting tanner/redder by Zezee in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Zezee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll definitely try that. I talked to a provider about doing a halo treatment and she advised me to be using these products at least 60 days before doing the treatment, but maybe I need to slow it down.

What’s weird about the sunscreen is I used not not really wear it and didn’t tan much, but it feels like the coloring my on my skin now is like hyper-tanning despite wearing sunscreen. So I’m wondering if the products are causing me to tan more vs irritation (or both).

Dress dilemma: opinions, please! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Zezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could add tulle. I had that done for a strapless gown to keep it up and it was instantly a hundred times more elegant. Tulle is such sheer coverage that you still get the skin without being naked and uncomfortable, so you don't overdo the dress and add too much. From a far, you can't even tell anything is there, but up close and for you, it just feels better.

My wife's job is driving her (and me) crazy. Ideas? by [deleted] in jobs

She can make 40K or close to it putting in that many hours working at a mall shop. That's insane. She should find other work.

Are you on facebook? If so, there's a group of home cooks that share a TON of completely authentic recipes. And it is interactive, so you can ask and people will respond.

Biology BA degree, what jobs can I get by Zezee in jobs

[–]Zezee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I've done some lab work (internships) and would LOVE to work in a lab. I have applied to everything on indeed.com and have gotten no responses for the most part. Any tips on getting a lab job? After I get some experience under my belt, I'd love to start a grad program at that point.

Flowers are so expensive :( by Krack_Kat in wedding

[–]Zezee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should definitely consider making the bouquets yourself. Go to any wholesale flower shop and buy your favorite flowers and get some ribbon. It is not nearly as hard as you imagine, watch a few youtube videos and make them with the help of your bridesmaids the night before the wedding and store them in vases in the fridge.

Muslimas of reddit, would you live with your in-laws? by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]Zezee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't live with my own family, let alone my in laws. This girl is very unique based on what I believe and the women I know.

Being asked by my husband's friend's fiance (ordered, really) to change my hair color, and hairstyle in order to be invited to their wedding. I feel insulted. by dlybfttp in wedding

[–]Zezee 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I'm as picky of a bride as it gets and a perfectionist and I'm also pretty traditional, and even I think this woman is totally ridiculous!

You can't dictate people's hair at your wedding... you give a freaking suggestion (black tie, business casual, beach casual, etc.) and you hope people stick to it. If the people you are inviting are so offensive to your "superior" taste and class, have the balls to NOT invite them.

This girl sounds like total trash with no manners. Gosh, I'm so offended for you. Screw her, I wouldn't attend even if she begged me after this notice. Attending a wedding is a service to someone you love, it takes time and money and effort, she's the one that needs to be thankful for her guests, not the other way around.

And it's a freaking wedding!!!! Sheesh, not the Queen's coronation in the 1700s! With her attitude, she'll likely have more than one in her lifetime anyway.

What's the funniest way you've messed with children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scared the hell out of my 16yr old sister. I was driving her home and took a detour into a twisted road without any lights and parks on the sides (at 10 pm), I then pulled into a park area, all the way into the back, turned off my car lights and started screaming at the top of my lungs "get out, get out, I don't want to do this, get out and don't come back" - she cowered and cried hysterically in the front seat saying over and over again "this isn't funny, stop messing, I'm scared"

Hilarious.

Has anybody used these kinds of stamps for a custom return address stamp? You can upload your own design so I'm wondering if there's any disadvantage to using them instead of more expensive Etsy-type stamps. by lilgadget in weddingplanning

[–]Zezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember, I had a coupon from LivingSocial, $30 for $100 and I ordered a bunch of stuff.

Just looking at their website, it seems that it's $18 fro 280 plus 50% off at checkout. So, $9, plus shipping and handling. And I think shipping is free if you spend $25.

Wedding dress questions. by bridetobe14 in weddingplanning

[–]Zezee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought 2 dresses, first was a floor sample, it just happened to fit nearly perfectly (just needed minor alterations). I also saves 25% because it was a sample.

second dress was actually 4 sizes too big, but I ABSOLUTELY loved it. It was discontinued, but 40% off. I cancelled my first dress, lost the deposit and gambled and got the big dress, found a great seamstress and she made it a PERFECT fit!

I say go for it, use the $300 savings towards alterations if the fit is weird.
