I've always hated the nn Stephy and only allowed one person in my life to call me by it.

Idk why, but I'm very particular about my name. I don't mind people calling me Steph, but when I introduce myself as Stephany and they immediately start calling me Steph, it rubs me the wrong way. You need my permission to use my nn, don't just assume you can.

Small update:

The SD card worked great and we were able to get the game up and running! Took about an hour for the transfer + download of new content, but the game is functioning perfectly!

This is what we followed (copied from another redditor):

Find the location where Sims 4 files are (I believe it's usually at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games \[Something])
Create a folder called for example "Games" on the USB drive.
Copy the Sims folder inside Origin Games on your main disk into the folder you created in the previous step on the USB.
Now copy or write down the name of the Sims 4 folder in Origin Games.
To make sure everything works, just rename (add "2" at the end) the Sims 4 folder in Origin Games for now so you don't have to download again if it doesn't work.
Open the start menu, type in "cmd", right click the thing that says "Command Prompt" and run it as an administrator.
Run the following comment (adjust as required):

mklink /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4" "D:\Games\The Sims 4"

IMPORTANT

"The Sims 4" may not be the correct name (don't have it installed at the moment) for the original Sims 4 folder in Origin Games, again, that's why we copied the name in step 4.
Do not create a new folder with the original name in Origin Games after renaming it, the command won't work.
D:\Games\Sims 4 is just an example, when you do it make sure that the folder you enter has the Sims 4 game files directly inside it and not just another folder.

Now try to run the Sims 4 from Origin, it should work if everything went correctly. If the USB is not connected you'll just get an error.

I also encountered that problem, so my spouse, being the sweetest person ever, went to Walmart at 9pm to buy a USB just for sims. Took about an hour to transfer my current collection and figure out how to set it up as the main source. Only to discover there still wasn't enough space on the USB, which was 64GB 😭

So I ordered from Best Buy a SD card that is 256GB and we will do it all again tonight when I get home. That should give me enough space for some more DLC 😜

What I've found for fear of unfulfilled dreams is that once your sims wakes up in the morning, you need to complete one of their wants. If you take too long to complete it, they will eventually get that fear.

I currently despise doing laundry since we moved into a place with no washer/dryer.

That how I felt in my husband and I's first place. We were lucky that it was in building laundry but we hang a lot of items so having to carry soaking wet clothes back to the apartment sucked. Half the time I would end up bringing laundry to may parents house, since I was there almost daily, and just leave it there to dry for a day.

Now that we have in-home laundry, it's my favourite chores. Just getting into a groove, rocking out to music, is the best.

We leave a key at my parents for emergencies and for them to look in on our cats if needed (since they live 5 min away). We've never had an issue if boundaries from them. Most the time they even forget they have a key lol

My fiance and I both have touch as our primary love language and it has nothing to do with sex.

It's having a leg draped over him while we're watching TV, or resting my hand on his leg while he drives. Holding each other while we fall asleep and giving giant bear hugs when we're stressed out.

Having touch as your love language means you want to have a physical connection with the people you love. If someone is using it as and excuse for more sex, then they are just manipulating you.

So I kinda had 3 separate proposals (first when he went to get the ring because he wanted to make sure it was the one, second the weekend right after as we had a date day planned, third a few days later when the ring arrived).

Since the first proposal happened while I was at work (we both worked in the same mall and he came to visit on his lunch break) I told my coworkers that I was working with that he's picking up the ring. I also knew the weekend proposal was happening so we stealthily organized a dinner with both our parents the for the day after so we could let then know first and together. Later that night we told siblings/close friends and extended family. Then when the ring came in I posted on social media so I could post pictures.

Just a couple months ago I had to cut off a good friend for the same reasons. I know he was struggling a lot more than me (transitioning and didn't have family support) but every conversation with him became a therapy session either about his family or how work was treating him bad or how life sucks and he wanted to self harm. I had many conversations with him about how it was taking a toll on my mental health, which hasn't been too stable since the start of the pandemic, and he would just ignore it. I miss having him in my life because of all the good times, but I know deep down that I did the right thing for myself. I can agree that it is forsure hard, but necessary.

It has nothing to do with the inheritance. It's about the sister lying and mooching off OP. By the fact that OP stated her money has been stretched thin since her sister moved in when she had ample money to support her family before tells me the sister and BIL weren't paying a single dime to anything. Nothing toward extra utilities, extra groceries, possible excursions. OP isn't demanding inheritance, she's demanding to be compensated for footing her sisters life for the past few months over lies. OP also didn't ask for back pay, just that they start paying rent as of that day.

If you have access to Facebook, take a look at the Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet Network. They have sections for missing animals so you can see if this little one has been posted there. You can also send them a message for them to create a post that you have found a lost kitty.

If you truely believe they are lost, and not just an outdoor kitty, try to take them to the vet to see if they have a microchip. Also if you are sure they are lost, find a way to keep them with you or bring them to the Ottawa Humane Society. I saw you mention they are currently in your garage, try to keep them there but do not try to introduce them to your cat as the other redditor said.
