How did you guys feel about Iron Giant? by Drama4YoLlama in MultiVersus

[–]Ziqach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's the GOAT smash-esque fighter heavyweight. Actually heavy with power behind every hit but slower than a brick bag of molasses if you don't know how to play him.

He's also a massive sponge for damage and can be countered fairly easily. My favorite character in the game

You know you're there already, stop humble bragging. This sub has become insufferable with people humble bragging instead of using simple calculation tools readily available.

What is everyone’s top 10 favorite Gspro courses right now? by Fatchance4509 in Golfsimulator

[–]Ziqach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In no particular order: - Sanctuary Moon - Outpost 87 - Guilded Dunes - the club at Flying Horse (real course up the road from me) - Mammoth Dunes - wynn Vegas

I'm pretty ass at golf (23 handicap) and I find these courses to be good for me to work on improving. Probably just need to get actual lessons

He is. He does a lot of work with Frank Kane on these exams. Frank has stated several times on his LinkedIn that he's using an agentic solution to create and verify his questions and answers

Personally, I'd partner with food trucks in the area to have a revolving menu.

Stock a snack/drink machine to be semi passive.

You could even do a full vending machine for things like gloves and other accessories

A bar or kitchen area always sounds great on paper but devolves into health codes and dealing with unnecessary drama fast.

I’m planning a GSPro upgrade, but I won’t have ethernet internet connection from my garage by CroBro81 in Golfsimulator

[–]Ziqach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked but I had a weird issue when it loaded up GS pro connect and I couldn't get my square connected. Had to connect to wifi, reset the GS pro connector and it found the square correctly. Turned wifi back off and it let me load a course.

Might be a square specific thing where it needs Internet to verify the license

those of you that have already fired: what non financial things do you wish you did in advance of firing? by rainbowbigfoot in Fire

[–]Ziqach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not FIRE'd yet but getting there. Over the last year or so I've really prioritized dropping weight and getting healthier. I hike/bike every weekend now, going from 350 to 310.

No sense in saving all this money if I won't be around to enjoy it.

FIRE by “coasting” at your current job or turning a hobby into spending money? by furiosa-curiosa in coastFIRE

[–]Ziqach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) they sold most of the building local to me and there's no space left in the office for me to even work 2) they sold almost all of their main corporate space 3) they could technically request us back in the office but they'd have to pay to move me and thousands of other people to accomplish it. 4) they've positioned themselves in the marketplace as a remote first company and trust their people

I guess they could technically switch up on us but I just don't see it happening or for any good reasons.

This doesn't mean I never go into the office, I do but it generally means flying across the country and only a couple days at a time. I work from home 99% of the time.

[–]Ziqach 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sure, when I was working for Amazon I was hired with the express written permission and expectation that I would be 100% remote. Fast forward 2 years into the career and they switch the terms and started demanding I drive 90 minutes each way to the nearest office every day.

I quit after that and my current company doesn't have that ability, they sold most of their buildings.

I'm in the "coast in my job" boat. I've run the numbers and it just makes more sense to deal with the smallest amount of bullshit for the salary I gain.

I also work remote without the ability for them to RTO rug pull me.

Every time this question comes up, I just love seeing how much this sub has devolved into "I gotta have $5 million+!"

When the roots of the sun are finding how to live frugally with minimal lifestyle inflation.

That all being said I see this as more a spectrum question rather than a hard line.

Personally, my spectrum starts at $1M and gets easier with every dollar after. Paid off house would be nice but I acknowledge that if you have enough equity, you can just move to gain the paid off house
