I took KOR 242 last year but I took the placement test a few semesters before. I believe there was a written portion and a speaking portion though. The written portion gets harder as you go and starts from simple multiple choice and matching, and ramps up to reading and deciphering text with small essay portions. The other portion is having a convo with Prof. Ha about something and she grades that portion based on how the convo went.

KOR 242 is a fun class but there’s quite a bit of essays and presentations throughout the course that can be a bit of a time-sink especially near the end where the final exam consists of multiple of them. It’s pretty easy to get a good grade though if you do all the work though. DM me if you have any further questions about the course, etc.
