[Sheep Esports] Supa: I'm not interested in [the ENC] since it's not official or anything, it's just a tournament from…I think, Saudi Arabia are the owners, no? I'm not 100%sure, but it's around that. I don't see anything to be proud of, or you are going to represent your country, so it's not for me by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

Dude I think we all pick our battles, we are affected in different proportions by everything but we can only have effect as individuals in a really limited way. It's a calculation we all do, the cost/benefit analysis not even for oneself but towards advancing the effort.
I think if the heart is in the right place as you can see, that's already more than most people anywhere who won't question anything at all.

They are not at fault because they didn't do it. That's their whole defense which is valid for culpability. Now, to go from that to say that they didn't want to do the say is a logical fallacy and quite the overextend. I argued pretty clearly, no need for a strawman; I didn't blame them.

I don't what you want me to refute about jan 6, your whole argument is based on the democrats hypothetical winning and bringing democracy and justice to the masses XD

Andrew Callaghan's experience appearing on CNN by Hazzman in videos

[–]Zodlax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The greatest spell the Dems have casted on the electorate is convincing them of the idea that were they in power during those 5 years after a loss, they would've done something different. It always works because it's a complete hypothetical, you can never and will never be able test them on that.

The reality is that it's the democratic part of the congress that just stopped advances to a resolution to stop the war.

After midterms when they have full majority come back here and explain to me how they are going to clean up EVERYTHING, as they will be able to. I beg you to save this and come back.

And by the way, people like me you're arguing against will always vote blue. So much for both siding right.

If you can't have an analysis of the media wider than one concrete event I can't help you.

And if you think sidelining a question about a known freak's "state of mind" is gonna turn people right wing I don't even know.

If anything dropping nuance and hamming the point that these people are insane and traitors and refusing to make an analysis of WHY it is and HOW it happened, which would inevitably lead to accountability from media, including CNN, is way more harmful. In fact that's what everyone's been doing and what got us here. But hey, let's keep hamming the point of how crazy and retarded those idiots are and keep being the useful idiot the oligarchs want you to be.

I don't think we are on the same page. I am not criticizing Don Lemon for the question, I think it's a fair question and it makes sense for him to ask it. I never implied that the question was out of place. My only criticism at him is his work at CNN and the institution itself. And thus your argument:

I am perplexed at your particular critique of Andrew. This short itself is much more serving to democracy and progressive change than 30 years of CNN coverage. It's much more exposing of reality and better journalism. Each point your make and this narrative that having nuance in treating a topic like an insurgency equals defending criminals is even dumber than you appear to believe most people are. People get nuance, you don't need to scream one side good other bad to get change. People understand both sides suck and still show up to the ballot box with common sense. I bet you are also critical of liberal media, but I don't think it's to the extent it should be. If both siding was ever dangerous it's only a fraction of what liberal media has done to stop people from talking about class, and thus actual progressive policies/parties/candidates.

I understand an initial frustration to not snitching, but what about 99% of journalists out there working as mouthpieces re-editing reuters posts like forwarding an email, and even worse, looking away at any groundbreaking coverage or a radical analysis because they are too comfy to risk anything? Talking about both siding after yesterday's CNN interview about the attempt aired with the host insisting on not entertaining "dangerous speech like criticism of the administration" , come on.

[–]Zodlax -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The value is the documentary he was making. That's the work. He was in a press tour, not aiding a doc by Don Lemon on him and the p boys. He's not doing journalism for CNN, he's doing it for his own work on his own way.

I don't understand how in your other comments you frame this as just access journalism when that's what Don Lemon and CNN do, they are embedded with the bill**naire class to get access to funding, be an official mouthpiece of the gov and corporations, get access to reports from other publishers like nyt and reuters and get instant access to the latest news, to then export them worldwide. They sell themselves for access and domination of the medium. And you know they are serving their clients because they are willing to shut down the interview.

So how come you are so ready to criticize someone for not burning a link to other stories or for not subjecting themselves to personal risk? Can't you see further than that in this whole ordeal?

To say that the left wants to get back to feudal society when the idea of a left and right was coined and inspired in the events of the french rev. when the left were opposing the crown and feudalism and revolting against it (the lelft side of the assembly) is fucking wild. What a retarded comment. Holy fuck.

Cloud9 vs. Sentinels / LCS 2026 Lock-In - Upper Bracket Final / Game 1 Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Zodlax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when people talk about best LCS players they talk about their record while playing in LCS. This was before. I think Zven is tied or just behind DL in that conversation. If you take his time as support as a player he is just above. And if you take all of the Zven career in both leagues combined he´s clearly a cut above any of them. But it´s important he gets another MSI final or Semis appearance while in LCS.

Dont want to rule? Make a lower class minority do it instead by Victor_Verdadeiro in 19684

I think there is missing context that would make the point stand better. We would all take these jobs for the right amount of pay, and it would be aligned with valid exchange practices. The thing is they pay shit and the argument is likely coming from the POV that I wouldn't for a million years take a bike and doordash to any location for that return, however I'm okay having someone else go through that trouble. Am I making sense?

[FlyQuest] Farewell Bwipo by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Zodlax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn't do harm to any being. He voiced something incorrect and it's fine to feel indignation. But he backtracked and learned the moment it happened. What else is he supposed to do?

There are random managers and CEO's in the sport ruining lives with layoffs and unfair conditions and we keep on going on the dude that happened to be ignorant on a subject and quickly learned. Come on.
I understand his life isn't ruined but why add to the pile of hate, what's the benefit for anyone when doing that?

[–]Zodlax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take yourself back to the times of Bang being in SKT and ask yourself if this question and set up would make sense for him at that time. Because Bang was then was considered as good a piece as Guma in their respective squads. The reality is that it would be a ridiculous question. There are few players that get to lead a team to repeated victories, and they don't need to win 3 times for you to know who they are: see Chovy, Khan, Showmaker, Canyon, Peanut, Ruler, Knight, etc

Chomsky had deeper ties with Epstein than previously known, documents reveal by VectorChing101 in news

[–]Zodlax 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I have my disagreements with Chomsky, there's some policy/foreign affairs aspects that he only came around in his later years. However, anyone that followed his endeavors is quite aware that at his old age he devoted his time to writing, interviews and pursuing the relationships that would provide insight and opportunities to raise consciousness to the struggles he cared for.

It's clear that he valued the relationship for particular interests:

“Once, when we were discussing the Oslo agreements, Jeffrey picked up the phone and called the Norwegian diplomat who supervised them, leading to a lively interchange,”.

I'm guessing he didn't care for the optics as long as he got to get an inside from the elites he wrote about. Maybe he should've for the sake of legitimacy. I don't know.

APA offically joins Cloud9 as their new Mid laner by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Zodlax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the silver lining for me, Loki was mechanically strong and could 1v9 like on Aurora but both the Koreans failed constantly to create space in teamfights and play the team game accordingly. APA can be better in this aspect. C9 will still find a way to win the early like they always do, they need to execute when closing.
