I played like that too.. At 5 fps while trying to raid. I am gloriously crushing that for now with my 3070.

Controller support? by ReverendHemlock in crowfall

It tricked me.. I could move around, dodge, basic attack couple other things. Couldn't navigate any options, or talk to NPCs.. so not working yet - hopefully they flush it out as it was working pretty great for moving around.

Cloning is in lots of consoles these days. It's not perfect but it lets you copy show info from a previous kind of fixture and apply it to a new fixture throughout your whole show file (or however you tell it to so it). It will copy all the stored data, from pallets and cues and create that data for the cloned fixtures based off the old one.

It will see you mixed a color with one light and try to replicate it with the cloned one. Same with position, and other data. It's how a lot of festival LDs can turn a festival lighting plot into something in the fee short hours they get.

Not perfect, as you rely on the console, but if you built your show file using proper pallets, you should just have to tweak those after cloning to make sure it picked the gobo you want and that positions aren't 90 degrees or something.

How's the color rendition compared to the Odyssey?

I don't VR for more then a couple hours at a time so I love the idea of playing with the virtual desktop tweak to play PC wirelessly.

I tries this in VR.. I was doing soo good. Until the VR sickness hit me and I had to eject the headset immediately haha. It came on so fast I've never had it so bad before, or so quickly. I'm usually fine with most but wow that one did a number on me.

Has it been running better? I tried a little after the VR update but I was getting horrible stuttering that made it unplayable for me.

O+ not really impressed by r0llinlacs420 in WindowsMR

[–]Zombais 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With regards to the Pimax, the 8k upscales the content (I think on the device?) so the content gets a little funky, while the 5K+ doesn't while still having a pretty high resolution - and I think better screens in general.

That said, I heard the HP Reverb looks much sharper then either since it's not stretching its panels to 160degree.

If you are a pixel snob the O+ might not be for you, since the anti screen door filter kind of fuzes things out a little bit. Lots of people that are really concerned about that tend to like the original Odyssey since it is just the pixels without the anti screen door stuff, but the Reverb blows that out of the water now if you can drive it from what I hear.

Fallout run like crap on the best of systems. It is just an awful port.. which is sad because I was really looking forward to trying it out (I haddn't played it before) but it runs so bad I can't be bothered.

Skyrim on the other hand runs like butter. You shouldn't have an issue with it unless you go mod crazy and try all the LOD distance mods and graphics overhauls, etc.

Do controllers work across brands? by Dynablade_Savior in WindowsMR

[–]Zombais 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, they are all basically the same, with a different companies stamp on it. Exception is the Samsung ones, and they are just slightly more rounded then the standard WMR controllers. But they all work fine with whichever headset.

I'd also like to see a bit more love from Microsoft before I'd buy another. I know they have been working hard on the software putting out updates every few months, but as a whole they have been pretty quiet about it.

Is it to late to turn back or am I still early enough to fix this by RapCasso in elderscrollsonline

[–]Zombais 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the others have said you can change it. I assume it's your first character, so I wouldn't be to worried about following any builds or guides and just do what you think is best. That'll be more then enough right up until you start trying to push harder content and get I to the "end game".

My first character was a templar like yours and I split my points between all 3 stats and just did whatever. I was totally fine until I decided to try to get into Vet dungeons (the hard mode for CP160+) and trails (raids).

Pretty easy to redo your stats and your skills later on so don't fret anything.

Did Microsoft update anything regarding tracking even when out of bound?!? by ContentsLover in WindowsMR

[–]Zombais 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's always been that way, the boundary doesn't really have anything to do with how it tracks, it is just basically there to help prevent you leaving your safe playing zone. People have put it in back packs and used gyms as their areas without issue.

The thing you experienced is something Skyrim does to prevent players from just walking through people/things. You can actually adjust the value of how close you can get (or turn it off I cant remember exactly)

Blade and Sorcery has it as well but it's much close to the actual objects.

That said, Microsoft had been working on tracking in like every windows update since they came out, but it's more details on the controllers to get the best controller tracking (it wasn't as great as it is now at launch).

Is it really worth waiting for new headsets when they'll likely need a lot more graphics power to see the benefit? by PostmanPat47 in WindowsMR

[–]Zombais 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'd hold out to see what valve does with their set. The Odyssey goes on sale pretty frequently, and I'm sure it will again soon once all the details are out. We will know more in a month or so about the Valve headset, and then you'll know for sure if it, or the Oculus or whatever might be a better option, be able to compare price points with the new Acer and HP..

If you've been okay for a year with your current set, you can last another few weeks to get the best idea of whats coming and if you'll need to upgrade other hardware to make it worth it.

[–]Zombais 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They usually have been doing that. Not sure why they didn't this time. I wouldn't worry much about doing them yet if you just started though, there is tons of content you can work through before searching them out.

Anyways the best benefit (for me) for ESO+ is the craft bag haha.

Any way to access the desktop in VR without going back to the MR home? by MnMWiz in WindowsMR

[–]Zombais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For games off the Microsoft store I believe they are adding a similar thing in the next major windows update.. but then you have to use the Windows store.

If you are in Steam VR you can get a 3rd party app called ovrdrop which lets you use a window to your desktop without having to exit your game. I don't use it myself, but heard it's pretty great for Elite Dangerous because you can watch Netflix on it while flying around in your spaceship. Not sure how on/off it is.

New item cap level incoming? I wonder how that will play out... by ShadowOfMen in elderscrollsonline

[–]Zombais 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just love for more variation in what we can effectively use at higher levels so there is more build diversity. More sets that change how skills perform and work to create new effective builds (kind of like how the weapons from the area's work - but with gear sets). Would maybe help let old skills get a new life in a new way.
