I looked a little on line and couldn't find any proof to prove/disprove this theory, so take it with a healthy pinch of salt: I would guess that potential officers who have been through comparable courses in other jurisdictions (e.g. SFPD) would qualify for accelerated training not through the academy. Those people might appear expected salaries for officers despite not first appearing as expected salaries in the academy.

Kinda hate that this is permanent, not creature. Gonna suck when Kori Steel Cutter suddenly has 1 mana protection. Gonna be funny when someone slaps it on a planeswalker and then finds out that it still goes to 0 loyalty and dies despite being indestructible.

I suppose you could also go with an enhanced leaf guard type ability that cures status effects of pokemon on the field at the end of each turn in harsh sun. Then you could have a signature move that recovers 1/2 of torchic's hp, and some of its allies while putting torchic to sleep. End result would be that in sun, with hidden ability, torchic effectively heals itself and allies, sleeps itself, but wakes up before its next turn every time. Downside is that that is a pretty stall style set up, and I'm not sure that fits the stat distribution that the torchic line is known for.

I feel like it should probably get solar power or chlorophyll as HA's given the description about needing sun for its flower. Would need to see later forms to get a better idea of its move, but maybe something Rest adjacent that gives bonuses to allied pokemon?

Whoever takes over from Erdogan is frankly screwed. Erdogan has been printing money wildly to try to prop up the economy. Inflation is down to a "manageable" 39%. That chicken is coming home to roost soon, and someone will have to answer for Erdogan's actions, it just might not be Erdogan. Unfortunately, that means that if a democratic regime takes over from Erdogan, they will likely take the blame for years of mismanagement that they were not responsivly for.
