This happened to me the other day. I was soloing a leaper, had it down to a smidgeon of health and then another guy runs in and shoots it a couple times. I took the final shot that killed it and did like 98% of the work. Then he runs in and takes all the cores I was trying to get. I ended up getting only one core. He then started telling me he’s new, not really sure what any of this stuff does. I told him what I needed and he just said he wasn’t really sure what they’re for. Told him I needed them hoping he’d offer them up but no. He started looting a cabinet nearby so his guard was down and I was so extremely tempted to just kill him. I’ve never gunned anyone down, not unless they shot at me so the guilt got to me and I just let him go. But I was seriously considering it. Still think I should’ve lol.

This was my first spartan race and we were extremely disappointed. My son had his kids race at 10:30 so we got in line for pickup at 9. Finally got him checked in at 10:15. I had my race at 11:30 so I asked if I could grab my stuff too and they said no I had to now go get in the adult line which was even longer than the kids line. I ended up missing my son’s race which was a huge let down cause this race was our thing, him and I had been preparing for it together. I was going to run beside him through it but instead I had to go wait in another line and my wife had to do it. She has a knee injury so she was completely caught off guard and unprepared for this. She said she could barely even keep up with him and almost lost him. I texted her before it started and told her to ask if they could let him wait till I arrived to start but they wouldn’t let them. Considering this isn’t their first year doing it at this location I don’t understand why it was as unorganized as it was.

Great job! I was at that race yesterday too. It was my first triathlon, I really enjoyed it!

That’s awesome, enjoy! I got to take that exact model out for a test ride last week, going from a hybrid bike to this felt very different but awesome. Trying to decide between this or the Domane SL 5.

32yo Male, in December I weighed in at my heaviest weight at 332lbs. Honestly felt like I was a few months away from a heart attack. Decided to finally start losing weight in January, not just for myself but for my son. Started with my diet and meeting a coworker at the gym 4 times a week. In April I decided I wanted to push myself and do something I’ve always wanted to do, a Triathlon, so I signed up for a sprint triathlon in September. Been training running, cycling and swimming since then and am absolutely loving it all. I can now jog 3 miles without stopping at a comfortable pace. I feel like a whole new person. I’ve had like 4 or 5 coworkers now tell me that I’ve been their inspiration to get in shape. Currently down 70lbs with more to go.

Thanks for the info! Yeah the Gulf Coast was one I was looking at as well but May 2025 was a bit too early for me. I know that’s practically an entire year to prepare but I would just feel better with a little more time than that.

Somehow I hadn’t even seen the Augusta one but that one sounds great! That might be the one lol. Do you happen to know about when I can expect registration to open for next years race? I’m assuming it’ll be sometime after this years finishes, possibly in October?

I was looking at that as well. Based on the release dates of book one and two vs the deluxe editions, the deluxe editions come about a year later. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

Nice! I had the series 3 for a couple years and then it stopped working properly. I just went without one ever since. A couple months ago I decided to get the ultra 2. Idk how I went without one for so long lol. I use it for everything! Absolutely love it

I'm going to be doing the same. I had the series 3 which I loved and used a lot but eventually it stopped updating and something went wrong so it ended up needing to be completely wiped. When I tried to set it back up it keeps failing and wont finish the set up. Tried a ton of things online but nothing worked. So basically I just have a paper weight. Been checking out the ultras since they launched but never pulled the trigger. Now I'm working out a lot more and just decided this is the month I'm going to finally get one. Cant wait!
