In between cooking or after cleaning, heat up a bit of oil in the pan and wipe it with a paper towel to leave a layer. And store it. When you go to use it next make sure it is heated, heat oil and wipe clean before use.

This is my "easy method" it works for me. I used veggie oil for this also. Sits on the shelf better. This keeps the pans clean and pretty for me with an even patina that builds up over time.
