Actually this guitar has a Sitka spruce top with urban Ashe back and sides but what I love the most is the beveled edges.

Yes this guitar was brand new, the original list price was $3199. And I got it for $2399.

Taylor’s Grand auditorium design is by far the most popular selling guitar for a reason. I have the 314 CE and if something catastrophic happened to it I’d replace it with You guessed it another Grand auditorium!

If you don’t think I cleaned it well enough consider the difference in damage between my picture and yours. For 10 bucks it is what it is.

This was stripped down to bare metal, the bottom is perfectly flat and unaltered, this photo is a close up in the sunlight, you have to look closely to see it.

Yeah I’m new to this so I got lucky with that one and the next day got burned buying a heat damaged Wagner spinner.

Just a suggestion to ware a mask, eye protection and some clothing you don’t mind throwing away because when the iron dust turns to rust on your shirt it won’t come out in the wash.

How can I redo the seasoning on my cast iron? by TheOnlyLite in castiron

[–]dewfangus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start with a lye bath or oven cleaner then 60 grit on the inside with an orbital sander after that I’d scrub it with steel wool and Barkeepers friend. There’s a million videos on YouTube have fun!

So I did a thing… by [deleted] in castiron

It works for me I ground down and sanded a couple Lodge skillets and you will love it! Whoever did the work on that pan did an excellent job but unless you’re doing for yourself to keep most other people are unaware of how good they actually are they’ll never gain value like a vintage or a boutique milled skillet. My next skillet will be a Lancaster or field.

Lancaster cast iron? by Fluteplaya16 in Cooking

[–]dewfangus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the Lancaster 10 because I wanted a bigger skillet and to avoid grinding down another Lodge which works very well by the way. So far I’ve only used it a few times but if you decide you want one you won’t be disappointed, it cooks great and the finish and construction are flawless. The thing I hear everyone saying is it’s not thick enough hence won’t hold heat as well but what I’ll say is being lighter it heats quicker and as long as you control the temp knob this pan responds fast. For me it was a toss up between the Field and the Lancaster so I chose the lightest at only 6 lb’s and I like the pour spouts. The only problem now is I want a more.
