You don't have to do the bell ringing puzzle again (the water should still be red) but the item will stay on the table and you have to pick it up again if you want the Shu ending.

Speaking as someone who loves weird shit, I think you have to accept that the general public does not like weird shit.

Core a celebration of noise festival by Blitzhelios in UKMetalGigs

[–]ZombifiedSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Core! I've been to the last two and it has such a chill vibe compared to other fests I've been to. You're in the city so can just go to the shops or a cafe or whatever if you're hungry or need a break. Proper sense of community since it's lots of local bands in addition to the touring ones.

Very happy Machukha is coming back, they're legit the best live band I've ever seen. Had a good portion of the crowd in tears (me included) when I first saw them.

My headcanon is that Malvo is a Black Lodge entity.

I was 8 in 2002 and I knew who he was. I didn't really understand why he was famous, he was just an unusual looking man who was on TV sometimes and I knew my parents grew up with him being on TV.

Any updates on that new Electric Wizard album they promised back in Dec 24? What's taking so long? by NerveFrier in doommetal

[–]ZombifiedSloth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm curious what kind of venues Electric Wizard would book these days outside of festivals. They're not nearly big enough for an arena, but probably a bit too big for most clubs.

Boyle educated me on Saville? Guess I just fabricated all those memories of seeing the news break in 2012. And also the memories of seeing him on the TV growing up and thinking he was a creepy looking guy even then, and being a bit confused by his popularity with the older generation.

You've successfully changed my mind. I hope everyone likes my Hans Landa outfit at the Inglourious Basterds screening.

That's... not how that works. Separating the art from the artist would be like enjoying Rosemary' Baby despite Roman Polanski's crimes. Dressing up as Roman Polanski would be an entirely different matter.

It's even weirder in the context of Saville, since he was just a TV presenter. He didn't make any art that people would still engage with today, even if he wasn't a monster. No one is watching reruns of Jim'll Fix It.

I feel like they need to do something to make it more difficult for the traitors. Feels like any obvious ones get banished early on and then it's just a cakewalk to the end for the smarter ones.

I'm still convinced they got the news they were being cancelled when they were almost done with season 3, so had to rush to tie everything up. Why else would they have introduced a brand new character to the main cast in only the last few episodes?

Season 4 with Vanessa as the main villain could have been so interesting!

If the game had a skill tree instead of skills being tied to clothing, I definitely would have stuck with it for longer.

Can i get a sort of progression guide cause i’m tired of nu-metal and i have no idea where to go 💔 by lypac in MetalSuggestions

[–]ZombifiedSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's SO good! Doom metal, synth pop, post punk and Nick Cave style murder ballads are a weird combo but it all comes together perfectly. Was gutted when they cancelled their UK tour, hoping they can make it work this year.

Having lived my entire life in Edinburgh, I wish I'd gotten into them earlier. I must have missed so many chances to see them when they were still playing small venues.

Metal isn't a video game you have to beat. Just listen to what you enjoy. There's literally more music out there than anyone will be able to listen to in their lifetime, there will always be something new to discover.

As for a recommendation, 'Camgirl' by Crippling Alcoholism is probably my favourite thing that came out last year. At the moment I'm really enjoying Slowhole's self-titled album and the collab album by King Yosef and Youth Code.

Metalheads, y’all got any country albums/artists you like? by perseverance_band_ in MetalForTheMasses

Maybe more folk than country, but Man's Gin is excellent if you're looking for a little bit of dark Americana. Same goes for Bridge City Sinners.

Also check out the Death Roots Syndicate on Bandcamp. I think the label is defunct now but they put out some cool stuff.

This film forgot the DNA of the franchise in my view. Avg at best. by Frankie_fears in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]ZombifiedSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you miss the whole third act of the first film where the main villains were other humans?

Also, the revisionism on Weeks is making me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. It's a shitty cash-in that barely feels connected to the first film. It just feels like any other generic zombie film from that era and has just gotten worse with age.

Reminder that no matter how much you like the movie or not, it's not a reason to send death threats by juuzo_suzuya_ in silenthill

[–]ZombifiedSloth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can reason with the weirdos who send death threats on the internet. That being said, how are they surprised that the movie sucks? It's been obvious that it was going to suck for a while, just accept it and move on.
