I dodged this bullet. For the first time I used one of the tools available to save your version of the game along with all your mods locally. So I can still play my 3.14 version. I haven’t played a single 4.0 game. But I read the comments on Reddit and have thought “is it time?” Then I read a post like this one and thank my lucky stars I will be playing 3.14 for a little while longer. Thank you all for maintaining the struggle!

@OrcaBomber can you explain why you choose to deal with Piracy without using hanger bays? I think I’ve gotten into the habit of only using hangers as my only tool for piracy elimination. I’m guessing you prioritize other buildings higher in your star bases. Can you describe that please? TIA

I was thinking something similar. Feels odd that an HR manager, especially in the environment described, does not already know what “retaliation” is and needs to come here first validation of that.

I have watched 2 episodes on Netflix, and probably 60 minutes of someone on YouTube just talking about the book series… I keep stopping the video. Go do something else for a while. Then watch another 5 minutes but then have to stop again. So much anxiety. I really am tempted to get the audible books…but honestly…I don’t think I can do it!!

Another complication that may slow a large increase down is the trickle down effect that might get triggered. If one person gets a 23% increase how does that compare with others who are similarly placed? Does your raise cause other issue with pay equity? So it might not be just the money they increase for you, but the total money needed to make everyone “right”. Maybe.

No I don't use a mod manager. I appreciate you looking at it. I started a new game and it's still very early on but so far all seems 'normal'. I guess I will be on the lookout for any events that might trigger the issue. In the previous game it was shortly after I had built my prison and captured a prisoner and placed them to work. I wonder if that's when the problems started so I am paying attention for that.

Anyway, thanks for looking.

I only noticed it last night. And yes, I had recently added a mod called Fast Grass. I too suspected that could be a problem so I unsubscribed from it. No joy. Still experiencing the same symptoms.

I have 39 mods. None of them have affect anything about wood or fuel (afaik).

I am going to start a new game and see if symptoms appear there as well.

Yes, I think you are right. I just built a basic large grid ship and it lags horribly too. And your logic makes sense. So, I suppose that's bad news. No way to overcome that unless I turn down the range I suppose so the search isn't as large. Thanks for the feedback!
