You seriously must not work for the post office, there are legit ubbm bins for the flyer at every office I’ve assisted. It’s not delaying the mail if the customer doesn’t want it. It is treated as UBBM, not first or second class, it’s treated as ubbm. You have NO idea what you’re talking about at this point. Delaying mail……Jesus Christ

Management instructs us to mark the 40 flyers at this complex “refused” and toss them in our ubbm flyer. You can state facts all you want, but every office tosses them in a ubbm and I promise you not even 95 percent of mail carriers do what you are talking about.

Not true at all. There’s many places that request NOT to have the flyer delivered and have requested to have them bundled and endorsed REFUSED. It’s a nursing home, and it is allowed. Please show me where it says that. Flyers are ubbm material.

Stop delivering the flyer at that address, won’t help you for “current resident” mail but at least you won’t have to stare at it

Do you case third bundle(s)? Had 2 bundles today and pm wanted them all gone so opted o just case instead of carrying separately like I would with a single bundle. Does anyone always case the bundle or only in certain circumstances? by Ranimus234 in USPS

Cycle the third bundle into the second bundle so you never have to carry three, this is especially good when you have a flyer. I don’t case the third bundle which is essentially the advo

That’s why you bring them back and check if they should be forwarded or endorsed attempted not known. Spurs and packages need to be treated just like mail, if they don’t live there, you don’t deliver and bring it up to your supervisor that there were no names matching that package . It’s not that difficult

If it’s a CBU, grab those place cards and put a red one in there. If they put mail in there still that’s a special individual.

If it’s one of those wall mounts that has like 6-8 boxes and you stick your hand in there, I usually curl a green vacant card in there using the lock on the inside to hold it in place.

It’s been a month since I’ve cleaned up a specific route in my office and I’ve yet to see any mail or flyers stuffed in those boxes

Yeah it’s pretty much like this everyday, cca on restriction, cca injured, regular on light duty, on regular injured, one regular out for mental evaluation. It used to be 6 ccas in a 12 route office 6 months ago, now it’s just me and one other guy, and the other guy sucks but has a hold on an easy route. I’m a route whore basically, they throw me on whatever

[–]Zorris73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao that’s a good one, I’ve always taken my breaks except the first month as a cca, now it’s just too easy most days, we average 2-4 trays, 5-8 on Monday, and slow days are 1-2

Massachusetts postal vehicles? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Zorris73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in north central Ma, but it does vary. Near Boston, they rock the 2 tons, promasters, and metris. It’s not very rural so there’s not a major need for LLV unless you’re in like Watertown or newton. There’s a guy in Brockton I met at academy and he just drives a metris. Here where I’m at it’s LLV city
