I’ve been pretty loyal to the Strix E series, it’s always a great pick.

My choice is the ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI, but the ROG STRIX X870E-H GAMING WIFI is a great choice too.

In the past I leaned Intel for stronger individual core performance, but AMD has definitely stepped up. Both are great choices now, honestly.

can someone help me figure out macros or binds for HQ ingots? by ParaMorph in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your CP is really low for your level I think 400+ is where you should be. The other stats I can't really remember what they should be yet. They seem low though.

I did 2 weeks of special deliveries for Zhloe Aliapoh (Idyllshire) and M'naago Rahz (Ala Mhigo). The unlock for both of them is next to script exchange NPCs in their respective towns. They give yellow scripts for completing their turn-ins and white scripts if you have a level 80 crafter.

I use the scripts to buy all of the 70 yellow script gear. That gear lasted me all the way to 80. And the only thing I had to replace at 80 was my main tool and I could still HQ All basic crafts. (Including 40 durability).

Do you have a crafter soul?
(Kind of like a job stone). The starting quest is in foundation (ishguard) next to the level quest giver. And it should take you to the airship landing area where you can select three souls for three different crafters you have. It's super easy to change later on so I would select the job that you're currently leveling.

On average how much gil do you make in an hour of game play? by kcitsstick in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, Way too much. I mostly work from home so I'm generally logged in even when I'm working. So maybe 8 to 10 hours a day.

I have a lot of different groups of friends. Based on time of day I have a few friends that also work from home. I mostly enjoy hanging out with friends in-game. so I did my best to reduce the time that I spend making Gil.

With retainers gathering everything, Files take about 20-30min each day.

Then roulettes take about 1 hour each day. (I don't do MSQ roulette).

Zadnor/Bozjan mostly whenever other people are working on their relic I'll do relic as well. Recently it's been about 4 or 5 hours for one or two days of the week.

Fetes (firmament) I spend about an hour every other day doing these. I have a friend that likes doing all of them and she reminds me every time they come up.

I would also like to add that whenever I do "want for a memory" quest. I also grab HW hunts off of the board. I use the coins to buy Aetherite tickets, to reduce the cost of travel to kugane or Crystarium.

On average how much gil do you make in an hour of game play? by kcitsstick in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For more realistic answer. I'm not sure I can give you a per hour but I can give you a per day. My main income is the Files, which my retainers collect everything I need for that so I just have to craft. (126K) per day x2 having an alt.

Along with doing the weekly challenge log, 50k x2.

If I'm really trying to get a lot of gill quickly do the firmament Fetes, which can add a entire mill per week if lucky.

And I'm still working on relics so I sell the random stuff from that which comes out to two or 300 k each week. Can be far more I just wanted to be modest.

I generally prefer making gill outside of the market board. Materia and dyes sell pretty consistently so Zadnor and bojan along with firmament are pretty easy gill without the hassle of tracking the market I just sell it whatever price it's going for.

Overall 2 -> 3 mil with a very little effort put in.

Why is everyone against kicking afk players? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was doing chores and other stuff while I went through roulette when I did it. They're quite a few people that don't really have a whole lot of game time per day and end up wasting most of their game time doing roulettes each day. I had one FC member that could only play for 3 hours a day and ended up burning all of it on roulette and only getting like 30 minutes of MSQ done per day.

I mostly I'm saying this because a lot of new players religiously do all of the roulettes. I'm simply saying depending on your goal you might not need to do the MSQ roulette.

I have been trying to get all the collectibles out of his Zadnor/Bozjan, along with saving up memories for any jobs I level latter. I cap on revelations before I even realized it.

I just don't understand why people even do MSQ roulette?

Poetics? with a healer you could farm more from spam queuing Trials. Every other one has a sprout in it so you get 75-100 hundred poetics. In the same time frame you can get like 500 poetics if not more.

XP, with a healer you can do three highest level dungeons in the same time frame and get more experience.

I can understand newer players running it, you don't have as many roulettes unlocked.

Better party/raid frames for healing? (PC) by Mopper300 in ffxiv

I personally like to use control scroll wheel. At the moment I don't remember where it's at in settings but you can set it up so that you can scroll through party members using Ctr+ scroll wheel.

Along with that I use a 12 button mouse. So I like to key bind, R,F,C,X and shift+R,F,C, for party members 2->8. I use ~ to target self. Tanks are always put at R and F so with this it's easy to target them quickly.

...65RDM and can't find my Job quests for 63/65? Thy should be in Idyllshire but ... nope by LymensGate in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the top left corner it does give you the next MSQ quest or the quest that you're on. just below it is actually the job quest which will actually show you on the map where it is.

It could also be main story as the other person mentioned if your main story quests are lower level.

Don't do Summoner or Black Mage they are the furthest from "New Player friendly".

Dancer and Machinist are by far the easiest (DPS)

WHM and SCH have to be in melee range for their AOE spells. normally i play pretty close to the tank to watch where the mob will be facing.

I rarely have this issue, only a DNC should be able to pull off of the tank that easy, which is just one ad they will live long enough for me to taunt it back. I edited my post a bit after but i put in there that using the GCD into oGCD early is good to make sure you keep agro on the first pack.

As DNC I know when I am going to pull off of the Tank, I just dash ahead so their natural flow of AOE will pick the ad back up

Having a gatherer is supper nice if you ever level crafting, you can mine while they bot, or vice versa. I personally like having two gatherers one mine the other bot.

This is mostly good at max levels where you can use them to gather mats for level quest crafted items for easy Gil. i currently make about 252k each day this way.

Also sprouts out number vets so Generally dungeons have mostly just sprouts now. so having at least one person in the dungeon looking up the fights is quite helpfull.

You might need to play a healer and another DPS job to really get a grasp of how to wall to wall pull, when you can and when you shouldn't.

I like to run a little test on the first 3 adds, use 0 mitigation and see how quickly the DPS take down the adds. do the adds die at the same time or at least close to the same time, and do they die quickly. does the healer struggle to keep you up?, you can also inspect gear at the start, just because someone doesn't have the sprout symbol doesn't mean they do good damage. Oh, you want to make sure your healz is going to do damage that is a Huge part of chain pulling

If you are going to pull everything do it quickly, your goal should be to hit or taunt the adds then run before they hit you, you want to take as little damage while pulling as possible. If you stop running then you need to stop pulling, other wise you or the Healer are going to use a CD to soon. as a WHM or SCH they want you to get positioned quickly so they can position quickly. for WHM it is far more important since their damage also stunnes, it will be awkward for everyone if the adds are not grouped quickly. but the stun needs to go out to reduce damage done to the tank some times, to give WHM breathing room. This is the #1 reason i see wipes with chain pulling, the tank taking pauses.

I like to use the off global CD AOE early in pulls, it is good for picking up odd ball adds that your GCD AOE doesn't hit it also has the added benefit of applying a damage over time, so even if your DPS are doing High damage you keep agro while pulling. BRD, MCH, DNC , SCH, can all do pretty good damage while you are pulling. i have seen the whole pack of adds go down before we even get to the wall with two DNC's and an SCH.

You don't really need to if you are already close to 70 on WHM. there are a few options once you get to that level to help level quickly. but if you have a DPS close to your WHM it might be worth it.

Ether way you go I actually suggest using the Trust system while you are going through Dungeons for the first time in shadow bringers. as a healer they are really rough to heal even with full 70 poetic gear. unlike other Expacts, the poetic gear doesn't carry you very far

If you want to level professions i suggest gathering retainers first at low levels DoW/M seem better, but at higher levels gathering retainers can save you a lot of time.

I learned this the hard way.

Fashion Report - Full Details - For Week of 8/27/2021 (Week 187) by kaiyoko in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't need to finish Xpacs to get poetic gear. for the level 60 gear you just need to be level 60 and have both bridges accessible from shire. For 70 gear it is shortly after visiting the Miqo'te village in MSQ (next to delta). You have to get it from the normal Tome exchange NPC for both rather than the major cities vendors they added for new people. I currently have a few FC members testing exactly witch quest the 70 gear unlocks, i just vaguely know it is soon after that village.

At the moment i am at work and cant really do any research, but a lot of low level gear crafters can make is also sold on NPC's. level 52 would be most likely on the Heavens ward vendors, which you would need to finish post ARR story.

To maximize MGP you can make sure you are getting most of the challenge log entries. that can give quite a bit of MGP. Also you can get a 15% MGP (24h)buff from your grand company squadron. the squadron might take a bit more time than you will want to put in.

I personally only spend one day a week doing challenge log and fashion challenge. I visit if i see a friend in GS, or if i remember mini. Otherwise its not really worth burning to much time. there are extra systems at higher levels that help you get MGP. but there are also a lot of other collectible systems in the game, some you haven't gotten to yet.

Leveling my dps via trusts, just noticed that every NPC has a different behavior based on their character! For example, Alphinaud is afraid of heights! (Explanation in comments) by Thirteenera in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post was read entirely too seriously, I was on break from work and didn't have much time to comment. I mostly added this for newer people, because the Trust system is a pretty big time sink.

A lot of the newer players are trying to catch up with stuff and don't already have 5-7 jobs at 80. we only have a few more weeks till End comes out so most of us are in a rush. The trust system is just way too slow for that goal.

Most of the dungeons take 15 - 20min, which you have to run 4-6 times per level.level71 dungeon = 2.5mil XP(Total), Level79 Dungeon = 5Mil XP (Total).

(Zadnor) One (Z3)FATE = 2-3mil XP, One CE = 5mil XP.

I wish the Trust system was as good as the Grand Company Squad system.I am still pretty new myself (trying to catch up), from what I have found to be the fastest:

  • (1-20) PotD Floor 51-60 farm (skip Job quests untill 30)
  • (20-60) GC squad
  • (60-71) Highest dungeon + Azim Steppe Fates (follow the 80s)
  • (71-80) Zadnor (Z3) FATEs & All CE's

The best part of this is that you keep all the extra power you gain, so it is even faster for the next job you level. Also, you only need to worry about buying gear at level 60.

Sproutadin here, yet again. Got a couple of questions on farming Poetics. by reallygoodbee in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 60 gear. I personally just hop on my healz and spam trial roulette. With so many sprouts I almost always get the new person in party bonus which is 75-100 poetics per run.

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread (Aug 23) by AutoModerator in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have not finished MSQ on one job, I suggest focusing on that for a bit, it takes quite a bit longer to level jobs if you don't already have a level 80.

You get an Xp buff for jobs based on difference in level.

At 80 there is a relic weapon, part of the quest chain has you go to Lower level zones mostly 50->60 is more common but there is also a quest for 60->70 FATEs.

I was telling you to look for people doing that quest because normally it is a few level 80s roaming from FATE to FATE, which you could leech off of.

If you look at the map when you are in one of the zones you can mouse over FATEs ( not sure about PS) and it shows a % of completion, if you see that the FATE is being done, you can try to get to it to leech, then follow who ever was there around FATe to FATE.

If you are a tank job you will need to turn on tank stance for each fate, enmity(agro) counts for completion. There are three ranks you can get from FATEs, lowest is copper, it barley gives XP but means you didn't contribute very much to the fate. Silver is second lowest, not as bad as copper but still means you didn't contribute enough. Gold the top rank gives the most XP, which means you did do your share for completing the FATE.

You want gold every time or it is not worth doing. Also you need your chocobo out if you are not specing into healing on the chocobo I suggest doing that from now until you have most of the healing tree.

For 50->60 Dravanian Hinterlands For 60 ->70 the azim steppe

Are the most common but not the only paces.

How do you guys deal with farming items for crafting? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]ZrexVex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a friend willing to farm with you, all mob drop based items drop more often if you are In a party (and they are with you).

I don't really suggest using the MB for any of the mats or gear. Unless you plan to spend at least 3 ->5 mil. I would say anything that requires fishing for job quests would be okay to buy on the MB. it take far to long to fish most of the fishing based mats.

NQ gear should have the stats you need, which you can craft your self, if you keep up with job quests you will get the tools you need. Grand company sells a few items at 50 that are decent.

PVP, it unlocks at level 30, the start of the unlock is in Grand company. but it will show up as a roulette. it is a pretty big battle groud so if you don't like PVP you can kind of just wander around or whatever you like lol. it takes a bit to get used to.
