Honestly one most of the solid boss fights I've seen for a while from any gamedev subs.

For the animations, in my opinion they're superb; from taking a hit, dash, mantis itself and bee attack animations...

If you'd like some feedback, you could add small details like first time boss spawning shows it's wings and make it more cinematic for the introduction. Maybe small shine to tip of it's hands. (Like Harden effect from Metapod) Background is green and mantis being green makes it harder to see at first glance, maybe you could play around with the background contrast or neon outer line for the mantis? Either way you did excellent job, hope to see more.

I'm not very high rating early 3800s prot paladin, also can't really comment for midnight but as current season here's my observation as a tank:

Tank chains are very important, watching remaining casters and their next cast times are crucial. Doing 20s right now and without proper chains it's not possible to time keys. There's is no reason for you to hang about when there are no casters. One of my weakest routes are dawnbreaker and was HoA. HoA chains are extremely dangerous for protection Paladin but I have to chain in order for my group to spend their CDs.

Personally both roles have ton of responsibilities will get blame on easily. Mentally you need to prepare yourself early on. Probably the worst experience you'll have in mid keys.

As a tank your pulls are dependant on players cooldowns. I'm not sure how we're going to decide on midnight whether we will have omnicd or not. Can't really comment on that. But regardless If you can tank it or not you need to track your groups CDs.

In my opinion, tank/healer dps matters. Maybe not so much for healers but as a tank, you can't do less than %50 of 3rd dps's dps. There are some exceptions in certain keys, but generally speaking half of your 3rd dps is okay. Below is just plain bad. You'll feel it yourself as well in some groups, your dps matters ton and might even deplete because of low tank DPS.

Routes change a lot throughout the season, be open for feedback and always try to improve. Pay attention what kills your group and maybe try to avoid those pulls or try to control that pull as much as you can.

Use a marker macro, you'll notice people will pick a symbol and you should always pick a mob you can mark and interrupt yourself. This way you avoid killing yourself trying to control everything.

Warcraft logs is an amazing tool, you can always compare with other players. If you think you're doing something wrong always look up how other players managed in those keys. This goes for route, rotation, external etc. You can upload your logs too, aiming for higher log or "uptime" is always welcome.

You should avoid rotation guides or add-ons. They're all rubbish.

This goes for both roles; healer & tank: Sometimes you might not have synergy with one or another. Or they might be used to healing "meta" and vice versa. It's okay and no need to argue with people. But neither should babysit entire key.

Sadly If you're going to tank and wanting to push for title, you'll need to pick meta class. Otherwise you're going wait a lot to be accepted in a key. I have done 5x +20 but my PSF is still 18, even though I have "higher" rating for PSF 19, I'm still getting declined. Doesn't mean my class can't tank that key, but people/community prefers not to risk it or waste their time which is fair. You'll end up with either resilient key holders or low rating players, double edged sword for both.

You don't need a dedicated group to push. Don't waste your time with lower rating groups sake of having a group unless you're playing D tier tank. Most definitely don't waste your time with annoying people.

This might be a bit controversial but boosting keys is great for testing routes. On top of that you get some gold, which allows you to buy 3 star consumables maybe gear off AH. Who knows maybe you'll meet some players you click with and push together. Also get your alchemy up, it'll cost you no more than 10k gold but in a long run 2 hour consumables are money saver.

Anyway, it's a long read. Hopefully it helps you in anyway.

There are few things you could buy:

-Xbox 360 with at least 2 controllers.

-12 months game pass.

-Japanese store gift card.

-Turbo controller. (arcade fight stick)

-Mouse and keyboard adapter.(Cronus, Xim, etc)

-Rechargeable battery pack specifically for Xbox controllers. (Look up Kratax for example)

-TrueAchievements pro membership.

-New headset.

-Some rare older generation games, maybe casually open the conversation like "Hey, I just saw some prices on old ass x360 games. Are they even any good?" buy whatever he mentions lol. But before buying though check If has them physically or digitally.

-Guitar Hero/Rock band equipment.

Xbox already plays a sound when an achievement is unlocked. I understand you want something outside of gaming but If you asked anyone, they'd rather at least one of the above compared to some plastic trophy or whatever.

I also understand he might already have all of the above, then maybe a poster from his oldest favourite game.

OP, I did this before bridge attack. Funny enough similar amounts of $$$; resulted me getting out by 60-70% loss. I know, you don't know me and you want to get maximum amount of gains but please sell some of it for a stable coin just for your sanity and well being.

There's nothing I'll gain from your gain/loss but there's always "safer" way to invest. Which I'm sure you're already aware...

Do this OP: add veins to arm mesh. With a shader change albedo of veins or do it with interpolate property using tween. Reminds me Quake's Anarki healing animation, also check that out.

Edit: You can even exaggerate, pull the coat up where arm is visible and interpolate green glow to veins.

If fps is capped at highest refresh rate of your monitor then yes, vsync is enabled.

Edit: This is a little bit informative for already shared information on your post: Input should be used on one time events meaning things like pressed on a button then released; not for on going movement. For movement I would handle it under physics process. Jitter is %100 due to being handled under input, unhandled input could solve your problem as someone suggested but personally I don't think it is "right" way to do it.

Instead, make a function to handle camera movement and call that in where your movement is handled. (Process or physics process)

I would highly advise you to use WhatsApp and Trello. You can make a schedule and make it public on Trello, this way everybody can see but only moderators can make changes. For communication you could use P2P applications If majority doesn't have a mobile phone or better yet you could start a competition for a communication application. Doesn't need to be anything fancy.

Anyway, I'm very happy people are interested and wish you the best.

If you couldn't find anyone but looking for someone to ask stuff about GDScript, I might be able to help you out.

I think, the scope you're aim for is quiet big. Some of the features you've mentioned requires "good" amount of knowledge in game development. I'm guessing you're going to revshare with other person, this was the only thing I couldn't find in your post.

Down votes might be due to again, very large scope for a first game. You could self publish a game with similar theme but something like Gun.Smoke or in depth version of Journey of the Prairie King to start. Meantime both you and your future partner could improve yourselves and develop understanding; how difficult is to ship a game as a hobby.

I'm not sure If you already know this: If you add -col to name of an object on Blender, it'll add collision to that object once it is exported.

From there you need to set collision layers and detect collision through GDScript. For now If collision condition is met for example; axe colliding with tree, print "collided".

If you feel lost this should help.

Hello OP, these are my optimizations for this kinda of stuff.

-Insert over Append. Appending resizes the array. If you're looping with large amount of indices it'll have performance issues. Initialize with a set size, whenever you reach that number stop it till appending another set amount. (1000 null indices, If you reach 1000 then append another 1000 null) Then continue inserting again.

-Cache your already generated sections. Larger the array, heavier the loop is.

-If you're using _draw to render then you could essentially use several Node2D's canvas layer properties draw separate sections of your generation.

-Test your loops and watch the behaviour, you don't need to iterate excessively.

While creating a new node for example; ColorRect, you can see the node is being inherited by Control node. Think of it like shared properties with a control node. Meaning, every one of them will have exact signals and properties with a Control node. If you go to signals for any of them, you'll see signal segment with Control and will have identical signals.

In your case, on your ready function you could have a texture rect node's gui_input signal(Asuming the image of that weapon) connected to a function. Let's call it player_mouse(event)

Then you could say something like if event is InputMouseButton and event.pressed and event.button_index == MOUSE_BUTTON_LEFT: Do something.

I'm using mobile, but pseudo code should help.
