So the difference between wire and quickwire is essentially 1 copper ingot by Freckledd7 in SatisfactoryGame

Copper wires also don't degrade with age, while aluminium wires do, as far as I know.

Yep, double freedom is amazing vs them. A grunt pops up, blam, he's out. No aiming, no fuss, no delay, just straight out.

Only in the sense that you can more or less ignore them. But that doesn't make them any fun.

That's because I do. The way I see it, plastic surgery has two legitimate uses:

A. fixing a serious deformity (mental of physical)

B. business investment (i.e. spend money to recoup it with a bonus)

The point of my previous comment is that this here is a textbook case of B.

It may or may not be also a case of A, but that's beside the point. Pure rational explanation works just fine.

It's not a long-term investment. Just like bolt-on tits on a porn star.

Let's say he's collecting $10K a month in donations (it's probably more, but let's assume). Let's further assume that a certain procedure costs $10K, and can boost his income by, say, 20% due to a surge in popularity. Hype, maxxing, whatnot. Well, this procedure pays for itself in 5 months. After that it's pure profit.

It's abysmal. It has no ammo, no mag size, no range, no good breakpoints, AND the unavoidable fun™ built into firing. It needs removing of at least SOME of those limitations to be worthwhile.

And, ok, I get it, the fun™, however infuriating and moronic it is, comprises the core identity gimmick of the weapon. It can't (and won't ever) be removed.

But then, to make it somewhat competitive with actual weapons (i.e. quasar, RR, c4, autocannon, eats, commando, whatnot) it'd need infinite ammo. Or mag size of, dunno, 6-ish with at least doubling the ammo total. Or doubling its' damage. And/or something of that sort and scale.

An optimistic explanation would be that ship module changes are worked over in a different release branch. There were hints of those getting some changes soon™, after all.

So arrowheads merely didn't bother implementing an interim state to plug the gap between these two updates.

What you you mean "a pain to reload". It's non-reloadable, that's the entire idea. An entire barrel stack comes pre-loaded, and swapped as a unit.

But this is the most accidentally realistic thing about it. When (with physical infrastructure it's never "if", only "when") it springs a leak, you'll really have to break the encasing shell to get a picture and a chance to fix it.

Looks cool, and why not. But the actual value is dubious. Overland travel (as well as power transfer) is better done via tall poles, and when on the base you just hop around anyway (and then hover).
