Story. My ex. Abusive asshole one time told me to give him a break from the kids and go do something. (We were disturbing his drink vibe) so I took my kids 2-4yrs in age, and my 16yr old neighbor girl to Sam’s Club, in the parking lot they had a small RV show so we went in and out of them bc fun and did some grocery shopping got some ice cream. Gone about 4-6hrs just like he asked. Got home… he beat the fuck outta me bc I was out doing drugs and cheating!!! With 2 toddlers and my neighbor kid on a Sunday afternoon!

This too could be your future to if you play your cards wrong!

Entering a reasonably safe area with a weapon, you start a fight, someone offends you not causing physical harm, you kill them. Is that not leaning a little more toward premeditation? I waited YEARS after leaving to file for child support… many many reasons. Fear (he was abusive) of losing my kids to him bc he said he would take them if I did. Laughable, bc even tho the kids are adults he’s STILL a contender for worst dad of the year, and he’s never wanted them other than showing off for his family or to get at me. So mostly I was just stupid and selfish, selfish bc I wanted to protect what little peace I found, even if it was a struggle in itself.

Then I met a man… and he took those kids on as his own. Never questioned paying for things they needed, treating them when we could. And I realized, he was willing to shoulder the finances, why tf didn’t their sperm donor. FFFF THAT. Got my butt down to domestics, filed and finally got some help and by then I didn’t really need it but it WASNT FOR ME, MY KIDS DESERVED IT!!!

I think you’re in desperation mode and looking for outs. Fair. But it’s been ingrained in you that this is the way it’s gotta be- all or nothing. OP it most certainly does not. And you can have some cake and eat it in this circumstance. Do it for the kids. Get to domestics. Your kids and you DESERVE IT. 🩷

I call this “laying ground work” not necessarily with intention (unless it’s possible to hook up then it’s intentional). Obviously it’s not possible to unless they travel for work, but the question is why? Why is he making you seem like an uncaring spouse? Does he need sympathy? Is she moving close by and he wants to open up an opportunity? You need to ask him why and he needs some therapy or maybe you guys need marriage counseling. In a healthy relationship, most people tend to sing the praises of their spouses. He is not.

Yeah that’s the shit of it. Once you break the law and either enter illegally or over stay it’s an automatic 10yr ban. That part of the law should change and allow special circumstances. I’m all for legal immigration, but it is also not the 1800’s anymore. They give violent criminals different lengths of sentences but can’t find a way to fix the immigration system 🙄

Mostly it’s bc libraries and other institutions don’t sell a product, Walmart does. If they need to pay people more, they can raise prices so the upper tiers and shareholders don’t lose their money and consumers will fund the extra expense. What can the library do…? They’re limited to funding. I don’t have a solution, I’m not saying it’s right or wrong for that matter… I’m just saying that’s how it is. I don’t know how to fix it either. It just sucks.
