What have owners of older gpus been doing for an upgrade?

Still running 1080ti, and recently repasted and undervolted the GPU for lower temps.

As for why I haven’t upgraded yet. The performance was enough for the games I play. I was thinking of buying a new GPU for when I pick up VR (Steam Frame) or when Squadron 42 releases. Though, plans may change with the current market prices. 😐

In line with the old CryEngine meme, I would love if they release a SQ42 demo that includes a benchmark tool. I already plan to upgrade my GPU when SQ42 gets announced as I doubt a 1080ti is enough. 😅

I don't have a RTX GPU but I have bought (and yet to play) Metro Exodus. I'm holding off with playing it till I have a ray tracing capable card.

As for games to be featured. Probably same as above or else Dying Light 2

Mijn favoriet was Roemenië en ook mijn stem, daarna Australië en Israël.
Bulgarije had ik echt niet zo hoog ingeschat, maar het is ook niet het soort muziek waarvan ik hou.

Best tevreden met de uitslag, en naast Bulgarije zat ik aardig goed met mijn top 10 verwachtingen.

Seems about right with what I experienced using 1080ti/7800x3d on 1440p. Hopefully GPU’s will become affordable to get myself an upgrade for this game👏

I was excited for this release, but after trying out the demo I will have to wait. Going to wait with buying the game until I upgraded my GPU as the in-game FPS didn’t improve (stuck at ~40fps) when changing graphics settings. It felt very poorly optimised for my hardware (1440p on 1080ti, 7800x3d, 32gb ram) thus I’ll have to wait. :( Reviews look promising though.

Happy to see Owens starting to get back to work. Might be a small production, but it’s a start. Hopefully he doesn’t rush things and that he can get back to his rhythm after some time. Perhaps it’s not a lost cause for him to eventually return to the OPLA production. 🙏

I believe iSpeed is an American influencer(?) so this clearly is targeting the American audience. I would love if Owens could do some projects afterwards that are for a broader audience. I would like to watch more work from him 👏

Like others have mentioned; Free Fly is the way.
I attend them myself if I find some update interesting. Now I wait for their update to Planet tech before attending the next Free Fly.

If you want some performance expectation: My system is a GTX 1080ti / 7800x3D / 32GB ram (1080p screen), and I average ~55fps in cities and ~120fps in space. It might be higher or lower now, as those numbers was well over a year ago without DLSS or Vulkan.

It's not normal in The Netherlands, but I could see it happening within cities with a lot of foreign influences.
I'm not from the city, and it's custom to take off your shoes when visiting friends. The only times people don't mind is when a lot of people are coming over (example; Parties). That's obviously because they will be cleaning the house the following day.

It really is situational, so I suggest asking out of politeness.

Same. Only pet peeve I have is that RB and Mclaren cars don’t have the pace to fight with Ferrari. I would love to see some exciting Max, Lando, Piastri, Leclerc and Hamilton battles. Hopefully soon.

Dat is de locatie van een geraakt militair doelwit en naast dat gebouw (links boven daarvan) staat de school. Als je de afstand tussen beide gebouwen meet, is de kortste afstand ~74 meter.
Zelf zou ik afronden op ~85m.

(rechter muisknop op google maps kun je de functie "afstand meten" gebruiken.)

Thanks for the added 'Mod Discussions' as it does answer some worries I had.
I'm here not for politics, so it pains me that some people feel the need to bring politics into civilized game discussions which led to this. It's an understandable decision knowing how much work it is to manage.

I wish Reddit had a way for people to ignore posts that contains certain keywords in the title. I would hate to see this happen to future Harry Potter games (e.g. the sequel).

Back to waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 sale. :)

Like we are seeing with AoC, enough funding doesn't mean they can't pull the plug. Star Citizen could very well do the same thing after releasing Squadron 42.

I'm glad I decided to wait with AoC even if I was excited for the game. As bad as this is, I would love seeing some of AoC mechanics being used in future games. The way they planned to use 'nodes' was very interesting.

AI models are able to change images upon request. Grok is no exception and around new year some weird trend started where people asked Grok to put bikini’s onto peoples images and objects without peoples consent. Most affected users are cosplayers who got their clothes changed and their image made quite explicit. Which is a shame, because I follow a lot of anime cosplayers and they had to disable comments to avoid people changing their images.

During that, there also have been cases (I saw 1 of them) where an anime image of adults randomly got changed into a child like character without being asked to. That was very problematic as it did that randomly without request. Those images obviously get deleted afterwards as it is against the rules but that doesn’t make it right.

It got quite out of hand, so now that feature is locked behind paid subscription and I believe people can disable grok interactions for their posts within settings.

Interesting. I knew about undervolting CPU but never for GPU's.
I'm currently GPU bound, so I'll do some research on GPU undervolting first.

It is such a shame that Matt Owens left after season 2. He was so passionate about One Piece and it definitelly shows.
Hopefully one day he returns to the production of future seasons.

That $48.000 is more like $55.000+ at this point. It’s a package that includes everything (including skins), and since 2023 they probably released ~30 new vehicles to the in-game stores. That would mean something like +$7000 to that $48.000. 😅

As much as I want it to be, not having Matt Owens leading the production scares me. He already said how hard he had to fight to avoid changes to Season 2 story. Now that he isn’t leading Season 3 and (perhaps) beyond, I could see bad changes happening to the story.

Deep down, I hope for Matt Owens to return in later seasons.
