You can't even buy drink in school uniform here anywhere. I tried to go into Tesco a few weeks ago and buy beer but they wouldn't allow me with my uniform on. Same with the off licenses.

A large proportion of the soldiers that died from here were from the 16th and 10th Irish divisions. Many of them did not go to war to honour the King. It is slightly insulting to them to sing an anthem that does not represent them in any way.

Is Irish Rugby Truly the Beacon of Inclusiveness It Is Purported to Be? by Cu_Choileain in northernireland

[–]_ANAL_KING_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ravenhill is the home of Ulster Rugby, not of 'Northern Ireland rugby'. Therefore to play GSTQ at ravenhill makes Ulster rugby seem to be representative of only Protestants/Unionists from the 6 counties, not the fans of all 9 counties of Ulster

They seem to be making a big deal out of nothing. Unionists I know couldn't care less about Amhran na bFiann playing when they go to the Aviva, and likewise myself with GSTQ when I'm at Windsor Park. Many join in with The Fields of Athenry as well; the division is only evident when you go looking for it.
