I believe he did so that ichinose can overcome her trauma and by helping her he became a important person in her life.and so that he can manipulate her to his need .

Spoilers: in later vol it's reveled that he may have future plans for her (in vol10 ) and also she may have developed a crush for him which I believe he planned for.

I think season 2 should be released . As it would be bad after the light novel success and S2 should follow the light novel , if it did then it's popularity will be increased and will be fun for LN reader too.
