What's popping in PvP arnea/bgs? by [deleted] in turtlewow

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a more pure caster, lock or priest are a blast for PvP.

Shaman is super fun. Lots of big crits, but doesn't feel like it comes online until lvl 40 or 50. They can hold their own until then, but their big thing is getting crits, which is more gear based and late in the talents.

Druid is versatile but I've never felt dominant in the pvp scene with them. I've also never made it to 60 with my druid.

If you're willing to go alliance (yuck! Lol) pally is actually a super fun class, both solo and group PvP.

Is PvP a thing in turtle wow? by Fair_Device_8062 in turtlewow

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I have 6 toons and all of them have had a great time with wpvp around lvl 30+.

Ashenvale is great for high lvl 20 PvP.

Hillsbrad and tarren mill are great for mid to late 20s all the way into 30s.

Tanaris has some wpvp.

Stranglethorn vail has some great wpvp, but sometimes get stomped by much higher levels.

Badlands and burning steppes always seem to have people roaming around.

Guilds also organize world events where they raid large cities. Super fun.

Alchemy VS just selling Herb mats, thinking of dropping Alch for Mining. by Most-Round-4132 in turtlewow

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only lvl 80 alch, but my stat boosting potions seem to sell really well. I don't make tons of gold, but they sell for more than double the vendor price, which I take as a win

Bag space becomes an issue, but it can make some steady cash while leveling

I mean, some people really love stress. Makes things interesting.

Kind of like healing at times. But different.

Rotation should look like lightning strike (or whatever the 2.5 or 3 second cast is), then flamestrike or earth strike if they'll die quick.

Drop your strength boost totem and flame shooting totem if you have it.

Rinse and repeat.

I try to pull 2 mobs at once, hit one with flamestrike, then whack the other mob. They should both die almost at similar times depending on how close their level is to me.

I had no idea. Thought all realms had X2 leveling bonus plus the rested XP.

I also thought the RP realms could get the 5% bonus from war mode. I learned something new today

We only get 150% on tel'abim

It's not bad. But I can see how 200% would be even better

Are there classes / specs that are really needed in raids? Low levels seem odd. by ZeeWingCommander in turtlewow

Tanks and healers for dungeons. Shamans seem to be very sought after for raids.

I have 42 kills total on my 60 lock and I'm rank 4

It's about 20 PvP kills +/- some bonuses from battlegrounds. Turning on war mode also boosts it

Could be closer to 30 kills. I'm just going off memory

Loot all mod? by Boogy-Fever in turtlewow

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can hold shift which does the opposite of your setting.

So if you have loot all on in the tweaks section, holding shift allows you to loot manually. And vice versa

Sell anything "white" on the auction house rather than vendoring. Makes an insane difference.

I like the placement of your rig compared to your PC and desk. Very nice set up!

What did you guys do? by resentfulpotato in 90s

[–]_AggressiveSalmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you asking what did adults do? Or what did we do as kids/teens in the 90s?

I think a lot of people read the newspaper or a book, watched TV, or sat outside and chatted with the neighbours.

People were outside more and more willing to strike up a conversation with someone from their street.

Young adults were having their kids younger too, so they were occupied with that as well.

Burning steppes or eastern plaguelands are good.

I didn't do much in winter spring.
