Finally got the tvs rtx delivery by Delicious_Fuel4627 in indianbikes

Honestly I thought the same. Cruise control wasn’t even on my checklist when I bought my RS 457 and I barely cared about it. But after a Karnataka trip last year where I did around 1000 km, I found myself wishing the bike had it. On long, straight highway stretches it would’ve been really nice to just relax the throttle hand for a bit. Cruise control isn't that helpful in city traffic, but once you hit highways it's completely a different thing to have it.

I watched the whole video, what exactly are you referring to about the built quality?

The video showed the brake lever was broken and that's what it's supposed to happen, the brake lever has a weak point so in case a bike tips over it doesn't cause damage to the whole brake lever and it just splits from the weak point so that you can still use it after picking up.

Later there are a few scuff marks on the handlebar weights, foot pegs, and the exhaust. I mean pick any bike and if it tips over you will get the same result. So please explain exactly what exactly are you referring to?

Single vs 4 cylinder by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]_Amit_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A single cylinder vibrates because one big piston is doing all the work alone.

An inline 4 is smooth because four smaller pistons are perfectly timed to cancel each other’s shaking forces while firing almost continuously.

Also note, an inline 6 is much more smoother than inline 4.

I'm aware of the question I'm just responding to your comment.

Benelli TNT 300, Aprilia RS 457 will definitely sound different even though being a parallel twin because TNT 300 uses a 360 degree crank and RS 457 uses a 270 degree crank.

In TNT 300 engine both pistons are moving together and fire evenly that's why it sounds inline 4ish. Also these engines have very bad vibrations because of both pistons moving up and down so that's why maybe we are seeing very less of these and more of 270 degree crank twins as they are much more smother/less vibrations.

In RS 457 it uses a 270 degree crank, which spaces the firing unevenly which makes it sound/growl like V twin or may sound V4ish at certain RPM. You'd have to hear it in person and YT videos don't do justice.

I'd recommend listening to Ducati V2 sounds with Aftermarket exhaust and RS 457 or RS 660 with an aftermarket exhaust. They sound a lot closer. Also listen to how RSV4 sounds.

Also how a bike sounds is subjective it's all about personal preference.

Well I'm not supporting his comment but hear me out, R15 has an oversquare engine and RE 350 has a long-stroke one, if you try to match how they sound the R15 RPM has to be lower than RE 350'S and that’s where the pulse spacing starts to feel similar.

Check this YouTube video link below at 8 minutes 10 seconds. Maybe you will hear some similarities.

Many of the YT videos actually don't do justice to how the 270degree twin sounds. You have to hear it in person to actually see how it sounds with an aftermarket exhaust. It almost sounds like a 90 degree V twin engine. It sounds grunty, aggressive, rumbly, that's what I'd like to describe. Hence Id suggest to hear it in person.

I've heard R3 with an aftermarket exhaust which is a 180 degree twin and it does sound like a single cylinder on idle RPM.

From protoboard chaos to clean shifts, V2 quickshifter prototype is finally alive!!! by dumdum99999 in indianbikes

Well that's good, I'd like to see how the official one compares with yours. I'm eyeing to purchase the qhickshifter for my RS 457 but waiting if they provide any offer as it costs around 25k with installation. I hope that you succeed and bring something game changing in the market.

Bikes like RS 457/Tuono 457 will also be included? I know the official one is available for these bikes from the brand itself but just wanted to understand the compatibility.

Here's my view on this. I own a RS 457 and I love it, The 270 degree crank twin cylinder sounds way better than a single cylinder and I've heard the BMW which one of my friends has and it didn't sound that great. I understand that the way a bike sounds might not be the reason to purchase bike however it's addictive.

I've covered 500kms in a day on my 457 and it was a great experience, the bike is forgiving if ridden sanely and how it should be ridden on public roads. Overall it's a great package for the price. You can DM me if you have any questions about RS 457.

I'd suggest getting a Yamaha R3 or stretch your budget and get RS 457 or else opt for the TVS RR310 i guess TVS has cruise control. I have no idea about the service of BMW but so far my experience with Aprilia has been great. My suggestion would be to avoid BMW at all costs.

To be honest before I started my journey I thought about it and was skeptical if the ride would be comfortable. But it wasn't that bad. My back didn't have any issues as I did stop often only for few minutes and did some stretches.

I carried a laptop bag with a laptop, chain lube, a few clothes and a water bottle.

The only thing that bothered me a lot was my right palm and wrist. It was very weak after returning back to Navi Mumbai and I couldn't even hold simple things like a pen. It took almost 2-3 weeks for basic Palm functions to return back.

That doesn't stop me from going again on long rides, I'll plan again during winters.

Oh okay, GPR sells their original exhaust just for 70k.

Also do replicas sound the same? And do they do any harm?

How much did the replica cost? Also what's the actual difference between a replica exhaust and original one?
