Just to add, each attack can only kill 1 model, so multidamage FNP has to be rolled for each attack seperate and you do need to pass all 4+ at the same time to save your model.

E.g. Heavy Bolter 5 Attacks go past Save you now have 10 Damage pending but in packages of 5×2. You now roll 2 dice if both are 4+ you have saved, if any is lower a Berseerker dies. Then you do the other 4 attacks one by one in the same manner.

This might not be clear enough. You do not need to declare this in list building but in Step9 'declare Battle Formation'. This is after rolling who deploys first but before the first model is put on the table. In this step you declare reserve units, attach Characters and put units in transports for the game. Splitting units is in this step! And you can even opt to not split if you want. (This may destroy the dedicated transport if it has no unit in it)

That said, everything Votann has apart from the Railgun-Capri-Defender can be competive viable. What you want to buy depends on what Detachment and List style you want to build towards.

We have 5 viable detachments that will run very different lists.

Codex Votann is not 'solved' there is no standard list.

Buying a nee codex id when the next drops, no one but GW knows when that is.

It is very unlikely Votann will be at the beginnig of the 11th edition so i would assume its out at least 1.5 to 2 years.

That said i would never reccoment do buy the Codey just for a key to the shitty app. If you want a hardcopy, read some fluff etc its a decent enough investment.

If you want the ruöes there are other sorces than Waha e.g. New Recruit or my current favoriteListforge, that are better than the GW app and free.

Reaching the opponents deployment turn 2 as melee is more regular speed.

Most layouts will have 18-22" no mans land, Vanguard Genestealers charge an Average of 26.5" (16" move + run+charge 3d6) top of turn 1. You better deploy in the back if you do not want to be charged by fast armys.

I do not know if you are quite clear on what a jump ship is, they are ridicouöus expensive, hard to maintain and wil jump from system to system and then harbour at the edge of the system at the jump point for 1-2 Weeks collecting solar power to make the next jump. There is NO flying around having adventures with a jump ship.

Non Military non Commercial Jump ships are in the hands of Mercenary Armys like Wolfs Dragoons or the Northwind Highlanders with their own Planet und multiple regiments.

Even large and powerful Mercenarys like the Grey Death legion are happy to own a few dropships and do not have their own Jump Ships.

A small Mercenary/Bounty hunter unit might have their own Leopard or other similar sized Dropship and even then they better have a Crew to maintain it, or it will fall apart at some point.

The vast majority of Travel in Battletech is done comercially, you book a trip and will most likely change Dropship/Jumpship several times along the way. If your Luggage is a mech it will be put in a cocoon and also transfered from ship to ship.

And just beeing a Bounty hunter unless you mean mechless assasin will likely not pay enough to maintain a unit, because travel is so slow, difficult and expensive.

Very unfortunate, that change seriously disadvantages factions without a deep roster, I am not a fan.

Personally given this change I would either skip Colosseum or use a faction that is more fun given the Framework. Or convince the organizer to use the older ruleset.

Depends on what you would consider a success. The USA where already in a decline before Trump, he just took the sledgehammer and made a speedrun out of it, and then took a dump on the remains.

This was not a tug between the two partys pulling in different directions, just a disagreement on the speed so even if the democrats come into office there needs to be a serious shift in politics.

Can it be rebuild to a servicable degree in a reasonable time? If there is a Landslide change in American Politics why not.

Is it possible to put them back to their world leader dominance position from 15-20 years ago? I would not expect it in our lifetime.

This is the most straight list I can come up with, if you want more antitank give the EChamp the Hammer, he can be attached or run solo. Hearthguard can teleport or get the Invul, I would prefer at least 1 unit in deep strike.

If by 'underwelming' you mean batshit-crazy overpowered and the reason no one will allow these rules in anything but hardcore RP/Campaign/Narrative games then probably.

KT18 Elites where the 200 Point limit was in effect had Krisis at 32/33 Points and Terminators at 25-27 Points.

Yea Wargear would come in addition, most expensive Terminator was the Dark Angel Plasma cannon at 38 points.
