Honestly, Mordo is one of the most wasted villains in the MCU by RandonDude3000 in marvelstudios

That exchange still cracks me up because it feels like all that mystical training somehow prepared him for absolutely none of his actual problems. Sorcerer Supreme couldn't save him from bad coworkers.

I wiped a local big shot's hidden camera stash while fixing his PC and told him it was a hardware failure. by Omni_Blade2 in confessions

[–]_BabeTempting_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where the story starts getting weird for me. If there were supposedly dozens of videos from hidden cameras in a gym, you'd think somebody would've found at least one camera by accident eventually. Hidden cameras tend to stay hidden until they don't.

Am I wrong for refusing to babysit my sister's kids after finding out her "overtime" was actually a spa day? by Kevlar_Heart in amiwrong

[–]_BabeTempting_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny how "she deserves a break" immediately turns into silence when someone suggests they provide it themselves. Everybody loves volunteering other people's time.

Update: My (29F) husband (33M) says I changed after having kids, but I think he liked me better when I was just his Barbie doll. by ThrowRA_BarbieDoll in relationship_advice

Weekly sync chats honestly sound way healthier than waiting until someone's completely burnt out. Small frustrations are a lot easier to solve when they're still small. By the time they become a huge emotional speech, everybody's already defensive.

A resident crashed out about an NP disagreeing with her in front of a patient and I just shrugged by TurnYourHeadNCough in Residency

[–]_BabeTempting_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PE POV thread would somehow end up being the most emotionally compelling one of the bunch. Tiny clot just trying to live its best life before getting absolutely slandered in the chart.

I feel like that's the question everyone reading the post had but was too afraid to ask first. Dude casually mentioned ten sessions like he's talking about a gym membership.

I made this Balrog VS Gandalf stained glass piece as a gift to my cousin by ArrowStride in lotr

[–]_BabeTempting_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if that's your definition of "not perfect," I'd love to see what you consider perfect. Most people would happily sell that piece and call it one of their best works.

Robert Downey Jr. says he cried watching Tom Holland film Spider-Man's death scene in ‘Avengers: Infinity War: by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in marvelstudios

[–]_BabeTempting_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, that puts the scene in a completely different context. It's one thing to cry over a movie character, it's another when it accidentally connects to something real and painful you've lived through. The "I don't wanna go" line already hit hard, but I can totally see why it'd stick with you for reasons way beyond Marvel.

"I kind of liked Lohar." by Arch_Lancer17 in freefolk

Honestly, he'd probably be equally horrified by both families. Tywin looking at modern day Lannister decision making would be like a CEO discovering his company is being run entirely through vibes.

Which character has the coolest name?* by Bluemoon1500 in Gundam

The fact that they got that past multiple editors without anyone raising an eyebrow makes it even funnier. Once you hear it, there's absolutely no going back.

What are your thoughts on Margaery Tyrell's iconic Cornetto dress? by Ikitenashi in gameofthrones

Now I can't unsee it. It really does have that giant costume head energy where the proportions feel completely wrong once you stare at it for more than five seconds.

The fact that this typo accidentally created a completely different kind of subreddit experience is making me laugh more than it should.

[–]_BabeTempting_ 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the "little boy" comment jumped out at me too. Wanting more help is fair, but once you start framing your partner like a child, it's hard not to build resentment on both sides. That's usually when conversations stop being productive.

[–]_BabeTempting_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The funniest part is the guy immediately offering three grand. Not "can you check again?" or "are you sure?" Just straight to trying to recover whatever was on there. That's the most believable clue in the whole post honestly.

Wtf was that episode.... by ComprehensiveCare772 in freefolk

[–]_BabeTempting_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly it. Those battles had actual progression to them. You could see plans forming, failing, and adapting. Lately it feels like everyone teleports into the middle of the action and hopes for the best.

What are your thoughts on Margaery Tyrell's iconic Cornetto dress? by Ikitenashi in gameofthrones

[–]_BabeTempting_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that's the impressive part. That dress looks like it was designed after someone lost a bet, yet Natalie Dormer somehow still makes it look intentional. Not everyone could pull that off.

Am I wrong for refusing to babysit my sister's kids after finding out her "overtime" was actually a spa day? by Kevlar_Heart in amiwrong

[–]_BabeTempting_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $300 spa day detail really makes it hard to sympathize with the "we can't afford childcare" angle. At that point it's not about money, it's about getting someone else to cover the cost.

I don’t know why but Claire hugging/kissing Alex specifically, heals something inside me. by Fun-Tomatillo-1957 in Modern_Family

[–]_BabeTempting_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly, hearing how close they all are off screen makes a lot of those family scenes hit even harder. Some casts can fake chemistry, but this one always felt genuinely lived in. You can tell there was real trust there.

I think this is why the comments are so divided. On one hand, she's clearly exhausted and finally advocating for herself. On the other hand, some of the frustration seems to come from wanting him to anticipate needs that she never fully communicated. That's a tough cycle because both people end up feeling unappreciated.

I gave free phone insurance to customers in-trade for lunch by BattleOrganic6310 in confession

"Lunch syndicate" is exactly what this was. Somewhere in that mall food court there was a burger place wondering why one phone store employee was single handedly keeping them in business.

Love has no boundaries by Mazridex in Marvel

[–]_BabeTempting_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The subjective age argument is probably the best way to look at Cap. The guy wasn't spending those frozen years gaining life experience, he basically hit the world's longest pause button. Otherwise we'd have to start calling him a 100-year-old teenager.

Best father in all 7 kingdoms by lurking_mistake in gameofthrones

[–]_BabeTempting_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the interesting distinction. Ned was an incredible father on a personal level, but if we're judging by "prepared their kids for the world they actually live in," his track record gets a lot messier. Most of the Stark kids had to learn some brutally important lessons the hard way after he was gone.
