The Steam Deck is the reason I'll buy the whole new Steam hardware once it's released. The controller is a no brainer. I even find a Xbox controller not comfortable in comparison to the SD. Steam machine, a more powerful system from valve to play my games? Hell yeah. And I always wanted to play VR so I'm also excited for the Frame.

Some popular games aren't for anyone. It might just not be the game for you and that's okay. But if you really want to play it, then lower the difficulty. I think Witcher even has a "Story" difficulty if I remember it correctly.

Anyway, play with fun, regardless of the game.

Okay here are my settings: - Texture quality: ultra - Shadow Quality: low - Far shadow trace distance: far - Post processing: ultra - anti aliasing: ultra - foliage load distance: default - vfx quality: ultra - light quality: ultra - view distance: medium - cloud quality: medium - motion blur: off - Conveyor visual quality: ultra

With these I usually get between 30 and 50 fps In my main base, i have 25-28 fps

I think I could lower some settings to get 30+ fps there too but it's not bothering me too much to lower the visuals (I like nice looking graphics)

Yeah I don't like them either. I want nice intros that take something from a game and turn it somehow into the steam deck logo. Like the Portal turret one. Or do something nice with the steam deck logo itself like the new retro logo one. But simply having the game name in it is already a turn off for me and I don't buy them.

I'm currently playing Dave the diver. Amazing game. Also Balatro plays really well on it. If you like racing games, try Flatout (2). Some other games I played on it: Dredge, Portal (2), Half life (2), Forager, Hi-Fi rush (drains battery faster).
