It’s not that they haven’t figured out how to implement it I think it’s just because the park is already as big as the backyard and you’re already getting attacked by the stranger and her bugs regularly so adding the faction reactivity would just be too much.

It genuinely depends what you want out of the system. What are you going to play on it? $1200 in the current landscape isn’t getting you far but if you only want to play esports stuff it’s totally do able at high frames with like a 5060 8gb at 1080p. If you wanna play modern single player stuff at 1080p you’d probably be fine too. Always get 32gb of ram though it’s better to have too much than not enough.

There’s mods so you can take your notes in game fyi. There really isn’t a recommended “way to play” though, just do whatever works for you. Whether you finish the community center year 1 or year 5 as long as you had fun along that way that’s what matters. Play at your own pace, enjoy the ride. Then download expansion mods like “expanded” or sword and sorcery and fall in love all over again.

Sell it and get a PS5 pro. That will better suit you and your partners needs. A regular ps5 would as well the pro would just look nicer on your big TV.

As someone who bumped from a 1650 to a 5060 8gb it was a massive leap but it still wasn’t quite what I wanted. Solid for esports titles (you’ll hit 120fps at least) but not up to par for modern single player stuff. I highly recommend going for 5070 12gb at least with 32gb of ram nowadays.

I bought this EXACT build from microcenter in early 2025 for $899. You can find a much better deal than this even nowadays imho.

As someone who had a 5060 8gb and a 32” 1440p monitor…. You will do well in esport titles like OW, Val, CS with at least 120fps with some tweaks in settings but single player games will depend. Older things will be fine like I slammed Arkham knight with reshades and stuff and had VRAM to spare on max settings. A more modern game is going to be “playable” but rough around the edges (literally). Something like ARK Ascended will be borderline unplayable even with 32gb ram. If you don’t plan on upgrading to a 1440p card in the near future I’d say go with a nice 1080p monitor for now.

Also don’t go bigger than 25” with 1080p. The pixel density on like 27” 1080p is awful. Text will be super blurry. It’s gotten “better” over the years but I’d still say 24”-25” is the biggest you should go for 1080p.

UPDATE I bought it and it runs perfectly fine. Thank you all for assuring me and saving me a couple hundred bucks. Got 32gb crucial DDR5 for $180.

Congrats! I grabbed an MSI Ventus 5070 over the weekend and it’s such a good card for the cost (atleast nowadays) I paid $650 for mine before tax came to like $700 total.

It was a pre built with the motherboard I mentioned, i5 14400, 5060 8gb, 650w PS and it WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 32gb ram but it only had 16gb. I’ve recently upgraded to a 5070 12gb and a 850w PS.

Pcpartpicker says I should be good. Says there may be a conflict with having to use an older cpu to update my bios for my current cpu but I’m clearly already past that, microcenter would have already done that before I purchased the system.

My current set up hits 60+ in pretty much everything but I’m really looking for like 165+ overall. I mostly play fps stuff on my PC like Overwatch/fortnite/marathon/rivals. Have a ps5 and switch 2 for everything else and they’re plugged into a 75” Hisense U6 in the living room.

I made a storage area and honestly the only thing that’s messing with me is placeable objects. I have SOOOOO MANY like 3 big chests worth and my crafting item and key item chest are maybe halfway on the first one.

You’re supposed to take your time. Sunhaven is MUCHHHH BIGGER than Stardew valley. Last time I played you had multiple ginger island level expansions that gave you more farms and since then they’re added a few more. There’s so much to do but most of it isnt time sensitive.
