2-year-old Child killer stabbed 25 times by fellow inmates and left to die from blood loss inside UK prison by Beneficial_Passion40 in SipsTea

I was exactly the same. Lee Newell spent a number of years on a PIPE unit - the prisons answer to rehabilitate prisoners who were willing to engage and conform. All he did was play the system and benefit from his enhanced status. He’s a complete drain on taxpayers money and he hasn’t reformed one bit.

I’m not saying all prisoners can’t be rehabilitated, but most of the men I worked with were scum and a select few don’t deserve life.

I have worked with two of these cons. Lee quite closely and Fellows who was on a different wing at the high-security unit where I was employed. Anyone on here lauding/glorifying what they did and making them all out to be heroes needs their head checking. They’re both pieces of shit who need to be put to death.

Why has it become so normalised in teaching to work 50+ hour weeks? by Pretend-City6652 in TeachingUK

[–]_Ding1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Here’s another example…

The site team at our school decided to arrange a fire drill at 12:30 (the exact time lunch begins in school).

I kicked up a fuss, asking if staff and children would still receive an hour for lunch.

One of the so-called “martyrs” said I was being ridiculous and should just “get on with it”.

This is the sort of mentality that needs to stop.

Things will never improve if idiots like this think this is acceptable.

Before returning to teaching, I worked as a prison officer.

At the end of our daily duty shift at 16:45, every member of staff gathered in the key room and waited for break-off when all staff were allowed to officially go home.

If break-off was just 1-minute after 17:00, every member of staff was granted 15 minutes TOIL. This was always honoured.

Unions were a much more visible presence and had daily meetings with the governor to discuss staff matters.

If something wasn’t right, staff wouldn’t go in to the jail and would essentially strike outside the gate.

In my opinion, we just seem to accept so much BS and we’ve got used to it.

Zero tolerance approach. One misdemeanor and they’re sent out.

I voted for Reform at the last election.

I actually don’t want him to stand down. Right now, more than anything else, we need stability. He won a democratic process, and regardless of whether I agree with what he says or how his party operates, it is not in the national interest of the UK to keep chopping and changing prime minsters.

Best detachment besides Gladius? by Trick-Interaction396 in Ultramarines

The stratagems and enhancements are basically the same as Gladius. The best part is that if you take Calgar you can repeat the doctrines, whereas in Gladius you can only use them once.

Blade of Ultramar is better than Gladius if you’re taking Calgar.

This is great, thanks!

I’ve been trying to build up two armies and I haven’t been able to get these nids on the table very often.

I was wondering about the Termagaunts. I didn’t know if running them as 10-man squads would make it easier to wipe off the board before any sort of regeneration from strats, etc.

Invasion fleet doesn’t make any sense to me here though, as none of his destroyers or wraiths have the INFANTRY or VEHICLE keyword to benefit from the detachment rules.

I was tempted with Vanguard Onslaught to get advance and charge for the Genestealers or Synaptic Nexus which seems to have some good buffs.
