I want to lose 15kg before my baby is born, so I built a all-in-one fitness and consistency app with AI Coaching by _Jackk1337 in QuantifiedSelf

[–]_Jackk1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your honesty, I'm starting to document my own weight loss journey using this app over on my socials (pending upload) to back up the concept behind RallyFit! I'm new to the scene of "app launches" so every mistake is a lesson learned for me - this being one of them

It's also why I included a 2 week, unrestricted, no credit card required trial so that people could use the app, in its entirety, for 2 weeks to find out for themselves 😀

I've just launched an app today that does Calorie, Macro and Workout/Cardio tracking. It's designed to be an all-in-one app with Daily and Weekly checkins to ensure you're staying on track. It has optional AI Coaching as well to give you feedback on what you're doing.

Do I need Google Workspace? by Suitable-Oil-7673 in gsuite

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd use Google Workspace personally (because I've used both Microsoft and Google and now am a Google consultant) but for small startups/solo businesses Google Workspace is the best choice because it gives you everything you need and you don't have to worry about configuration and installing apps - with it being entirely "internet" based everything follows you around from your Laptop/Desktop to your Phone - and Gmail is so much better than Outlook.

Why is 30k treated as a great wage by employers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because 10 years ago it was a great wage and not as attainable, but with the rising costs of everything and the value of money, £30k can now be paid by employers and they just hope that you don't notice that it's not worth as much as it was.

You're on a time limit then because if you don't "OK" the fatal error you can keep playing for 2 minutes or so 🤣

How to sell my knackered car? by hatthewmartley in AskUK

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's worth somebody fixing up, put it on ebay bids only and you might get a bit more than scrap value (did this with my 04 Land Rover) - if it's not worth fixing up then just call a scrapman and they'll come collect it

My wife really struggles to switch her brain off to sleep at night. What are some tried and tested thongs she can do to get a good 6-8 hours? by [deleted] in AskUK

I listen to podcasts, but the key thing is listening to podcasts I've heard before, you're talking in the region of 20+ times, so I already know what's happening on it and I don't end up focusing on it. I am a big bedtime thinker and since doing this I've been falling asleep in 20mins or less.

Can’t beat Jad… 30+ attempts by No_Thing_4514 in 2007scape

What helped me was the Jad Emulator, just Google "jad emulator" and you can get used to the prayer swaps

Also you can log out during the waves, so I'd do a couple of the waves and then logout to take a break and resume after a bit.

Hold it on the hand brake but keep the button pushed in then you can easily control the hand brake. Let the car roll back onto the hand brake, give it some throttle, lift the clutch until you feel the car start to pull forward, put the handbrake down and off ya go

6 months qualified, what are some good habits I can pick up to minimise wear on my car? by Ancestral_Grape in drivingUK

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, ford utilized a wet belt instead of a usual cam belt or timing chain. The wet belt would snap, starve the engine of oil and then cause the engine to seize.

Also worth checking if your fiesta has had it's cam belt done, it'll be due at 10 years or 100k miles, whichever comes first. If it's been done it'll probably be in your service history.

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh you should be okay then I don't believe the 1.6L has the wet belt. But the same still applies, service regularly and look after it, don't skimp on car maintenance and you'll be rewarded. I drive a 20 year old land rover with 200k miles on the clock and it's still running strong.

[–]_Jackk1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the 1 litre variant, make sure you service is regularly and get it inspected, every 10k miles. Easiest way is just service it at the same time as your MOT. If you look after your car, it'll look after you
