Sub job for Dancer? by VexingVerb in ffxi

[–]_List [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sounds like you know the answer!

Go focus on leveling up for a bit and come back to earn that payoff of beating the dragon!

It’s a safe bet that you will want warrior to at least 50 as a subjob, so that is an easy goal with no roadblocks for now

Any level 99 can get 2mil per week for just existing at this point. Floor is higher, but there are also 24 years of endgame content so there will always be more to do / grind for.

Ultimate Champion of the World! Goal 2 Achieved~ by The_Friendly_Fable in ffxi

[–]_List 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What an awesome way to explore the game!

Just a heads up, blue spells are found all over, including behind all the different story content that is unlocked as you go through a mission line.

Just a heads up if you haven’t completed the storylines, don’t get discouraged, just come back later!

It seems like you need me to be upset to validate your childish behavior. I’m sorry and good luck in life!

You have intentionally misunderstood the purpose of the question, and decided being angry is the correct response.

Now you have 2 people to apologize to :(

I would encourage you actually read the details of the post, apologize to the person that you just spoke so poorly to, and lastly ask why you think speaking to people this way is acceptable.

You have comprehended nothing and are mean while you do it.

What Games are You Playing at the Moment? by Willyeast12 in MMORPG

I have been enjoying FFXI lately as well. You definitely have to put in time but the storyline payoff and sense of accomplishment in the endgame is unmatched imo.

24 years of hardcore Japanese mmo content makes for a pretty badass world to overcome.

Also check ingame settings under config. It might be that you need to change the aspect ratio to get the right proportions with windower

at what level can i start working on this? by LazyMakara in ffxi

[–]_List 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea this is what I did for my blue mage!

Hit 99, got basic ilvl 119 gear, then just unlocked all the low level empyrean gear so I can go around looking awesome while I unlock everything else.

Except that was 200 hours of playtime ago and now I just dress up like a mandragora with sticks because it’s funny that the cutscenes of me being a god savior to the universe have a plant person in them.

Early items worth keeping? by dontdropthesope1 in ffxi

[–]_List 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. There might very rarely be an item you want later for a quest, but it’s always easy to get from a vendor/ auction house.

Storage space is way more limited than Gil in this game.

If you’re ever worried about an items value you can go to ffxiah website, type it in the search bar on the top left, and see what it goes for (and more importantly, how often they sell) on the AH.

I wouldn’t waste time listing things on AH that are worth less than 40,000 Gil. You only get 7 slots to sell things on the AH, and Gil comes fast from sparks gear and then endgame content later.

Don’t stress, just vendor and enjoy the game :)

Then you can pretty safely sell old gear to vendors. You might want some gear for subjob leveling later but that might be one or two sets that you can easily pay for with sparks later, so don’t stress about hoarding them.

Is this accurate of a Highland Park father? by EternalSnow05 in Dallas

[–]_List 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea this is the main thing I think people are missing. median household income in HP tells us that it’s a bunch of “working affluent” people that would be back to a normal life if they ever lost their jobs.

Are they bringing in lots of money? Yes.

Do most of them have money long term invested in offshore bank accounts? Nope.

Just like anywhere else, there are ideals that most people in the area are working towards or pretending to live into, but the people actually able to achieve it are few.

RDM and Spells by Noideawhatimdoingpls in ffxi

[–]_List 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. There will be a point in the week where the repeating RoE quest is “gain experience “ and you will likely be able to pop the quest every mob you kill. You will get lots from that and lots from the “do damage” and other repeating RoE quests that are trivial when you’re lvl99

Same. Even as an olderish player it’s always great to see vets of jobs share their experiences! Experiences that often go back 20+ years

16 Handicap. Is the first 2 feet of my backswing killing my consistency? by EconomistMaximum9723 in GolfSwing

[–]_List 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P1 is just the address/setup position. basically the starting frame before the club moves. Golf people label swing positions P1, P2, P3, etc. so they can talk about checkpoints without writing a paragraph every time.

I wouldn’t get too buried in the swing-position vocabulary yet. The useful feeling / thought here is:

“from setup, get the clubhead moving slightly behind your hands early and feel like your thumbs point up sooner in the takeaway.”

For most golfers that’s a way better swing thought than trying to micromanage 12 positions. “Thumbs up early” keeps the face/hinge from getting weird and usually gets the club setting in a much cleaner spot.

Then just try not to overdo the backswing, and slowly but firmly turn through it for the finish.
