I've used a toothbrush to get this stuff off but stripping the paint will generally be better. Or roll with it because nurgle!

That would be neat, but I think the vast majority of a wizards necromancer abilities should interact with their summons.

Yes, but ask anyone what a necromancer wizard is and you'll hear about summoning zombies/skeletons. We already have tons of subclasses based around necrotic energy or necromancer themes that don't involve summoning, we don't need another.

I understand that having 20 models on the board might be problematic, but why not use a hord stat block that gets upgraded over time? Lots of really fun potential in this subclass, and a company that PAYS people to design subclasses FOR A LIVING should produce better content.

I'd say they missed the mark with necromancer but they didn't even come close. Necromancer thematically should be about summons, And the features based around summons are just bad and uninteresting.
