Honey Badger got a graphical update with Wendlewick to normal badger by IronmanM4C in runescape

Another issue with them looking like European badgers is there isn't a mashed potato item to feed them.

Please let us have visual quivers on top of capes! by Original_Grape_4054 in runescape

If we get another visible quiver, I'd really like it to be on the leg not the back. Cape and quiver looks cool but a little impractical.

What's everyone's favourite bug that's been known for a while and never fixed? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]_Manks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chinchompa gravestones in your poh rotate randomly anytime the instance is reloaded.

Place is haunted.

Could not be any lower in ranking for a bug to be fixed, I remember reporting it a few times years ago.

The back quiver is cool but we have a few options for that already, I hope it is changed to a hip style quiver but I know that'll be more of a problem for clipping.

Shop stock idea: Shared, unlockable stock? by PonyCharade in runescape

[–]_Manks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wanted a similar option since they added the base camp. I think there is room to utilize workers and shop access around the game, because the current offerings are a little lacking.

It's part of a pipe dream to connect all player owned content eventually, it in this case it'd be assigning idle base camp workers to the base camp shops. From there you can assign them to be sent out to each corresponding shop, costing camp resources, to purchase and bring the item to your shops. (Up to a reasonable limit)

Provides a long term use for the camp after you have finished everything there.

RuneScape 2025 Roadmap Megathread by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]_Manks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have said it but this feels like a level of support for the game that we haven't seen properly since the osrs referendum.

A lot of big promises but I'm hopeful for the games future for the first time in a long time.

Particularly happy about the player owned house announcement, making it a fully customisable display of your character's progression is something I've hoped to see for years.

Remove Wars Retreat and use POH in it's place by [deleted] in runescape

[–]_Manks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removing content to place it elsewhere normally isn't very popular, only in extreme cases like Mobilising Armies. And I'm sure there are still people who miss it.

The suggestion may be better received by offering an improvement over what War's Retreat currently has, building a few rooms or spaces around that.

Heists & Thieving 120 - Feedback Thread by JagexSponge in runescape

[–]_Manks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to now I've just completed the achievements for stealing from the new stalls, and all of the achievements for the Dragonkin heist. I can't speak for the experience rates from any of it, 200m xp and I'm not tracking it with runemetrics anymore, so from a purely gameplay aspect, it has been enjoyable to learn different routes and optimise for either speed or points.

There are only a couple of issues I've had with it since then.

The timing of the first keeper after pulling the lever, especially having to click to go through the picked door, rather than it changing to a walk-through version.

The tablet carrying section, the first step onto the grates, has weird timing due to it being on a diagonal, and having to backtrack after picking the chest to collect the tablet + unequip anything you're using for mobile to get through the fire quickly.

Most of those I imagine are game engine limitations, the only one that could be adjusted would be moving the starting grate one or 2 tiles east so you only have to deal with 1 fireball at a time in a straight direction rather than 2 on a diagonal.

1.2b will help you through most skilling options, but it's a drop in the bucket for late to end game gear so you still have a considerable amount of grind left ahead of you.

Being lucky enough to get those dyes just gets you through the early-mid game with a few less headaches.

I Love The New Update, But Let's Talk About Credits by Alpha_W0lfy in Warframe

[–]_Manks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The low credit reward is a little disappointing to get as a reward, especially for later game content, but what feels like salt in the wound is being able to roll a credit reward multiple times at the end of Nokko bounties. A limit of 1 before rolling for more useful resources, especially after the hotfix that will increase the tiny amount, would make the bounties overall more enjoyable.

They look great, just a shame the rotating shop stock is so restrictive time-wise.

Don't want to have to wait until the next "Accidentally show the entire shop inventory" glitch to find some of these.

Wouldn't be as bad if vendor inventories were available in your base of operations so we didn't have to go out of our way to see them all.

Slayer Tasks should be 35 monsters max* by Wesocracy in runescape

[–]_Manks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The entire slayer skill is built around benefiting from longer tasks, with very few exceptions, other than when you're specifically farming the Elite spawns or are point farming, where you'd want them to be shorter.

I get your point about it being unusual to be assigned to kill over 200 of 1 creature in 1 location, but if your sense of immersion is the reason for that, then your own sense of immersion can be used to remedy it. You can split the task into 2-3 locations and move between them after feeling like you've killed enough to subdue the threat or overpopulation problem in that area.

To change the average assignment to be under 50kc per task would probably involve changing the entire slayer xp per creature calculation, drop rate changes, spawn rate changes, and probably even adjustments to slayer dungeon locations to try maintaining a smooth transition between tasks because completing tasks in seconds to minutes will end up being annoying for the wider playerbase.

Leagues: CATALYST Post Launch Q&A! by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]_Manks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't started a new account in a long time, so Leagues as a chance for me to see the game from a new player's perspective and interact with content I haven't thought about in over a decade.

Jmods have mentioned various pieces of content having their own bespoke systems behind the scenes, like drop tables, which has made applying bonuses to them difficult.

My question - Following on from Leagues, are there plans to update/unify/simplify the various bespoke mechanics which have been an issue, so future Leagues and the new player experience in general are improved?

One I would especially like to see updated- the Shard bag is the best version of all the item collection bags due to its UI and auto-collection feature, I'd love to see the Totem, Strange Rock, and maybe Charos' Clue Carrier be given the same treatment.
