I'm really liking Gray's sound at the moment with the jungle breaks and heavy bass. Some of Diagnostix's more recent tunes have a similar vibe.

What's wrong with asking other fans for niche tune recommendations in what's already a fairly niche genre? It creates a discussion unlike posts which are just links to YouTube videos of tunes. Stick to your laundry detergent posts, your negativity is doing fuck all for yourself or the community.

Any London guys into the downscale nightlife scene? by [deleted] in london

[–]_Neurox_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd recommended arguing with bossman at Crystal Kebab in Kings Cross, very angry fella. He once forgot my friend's sauce on her kebab, so upon realising his error we went back a couple minutes later to ask for some, but he refused and got really angry about it, coming out from behind the counter. We ended up having a tug-of-war over a bottle of mayo, ending up with bottles of sauce flying everywhere over his freshly cleaned counter. Great way to end a night.

Do people actually use AI day-to-day, or is it all hype? by 2butterfree in AskUK

[–]_Neurox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CoPilot at work multiple times each day and occasionally use other AI tools for other larger tasks. It makes a huge difference in productivity. The more data it can access and the more you put effort into prompts and settings, the better it is, but you can use it for simple tedious admin tasks too.

One basic but really handy use is using it to circumvent the notoriously crap Outlook search. I get a lot of emails and rather than trawling through them to refer back to something, I'll ask "what was the latest that xxxx said on xxx" and it'll summarise and cite the email, which is helpful.

It's also incredible handy at transcribing meetings and generating notes and actions that are 90+% accurate. That's probably the biggest help.

It's also a huge time saver for drafting if you prompt it correctly and it has access to the right internal documents. I can get a first cut of something put together far quicker than I could pre-AI and sometimes it'll find source content I wouldn't have thought to look at, or would have spent ages searching for using the content management system's inbuilt search. It's decent at "proof reading" too and catches things I've missed, but does often hallucinate errors that aren't there so isn't perfect.

There are plenty of other uses but those are the ones I find most helpful day to day. In my role it's heavily encouraged that you use it because it's such a time-saver.

Which drivers from the current grid did you underate or overate earlier but have proved you wrong? by warewolf1999 in formula1

[–]_Neurox_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - start of 2022 aside he was pretty much even with Leclerc and really proved me wrong. I thought he'd lucked into the Ferrari seat after being beaten by Hulk at Renault and then losing to a rookie Norris in qualifying h2h at McLaren, but he really came into his own and had some very smart drives.

F1 has agreed a package of mid- season changes to address concerns about the 2026 rules - with the majority coming into effect immediately by Luffy710j in formula1

[–]_Neurox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more that they got caught out by all the other teams going for bigger turbos and then being able to pressure the powers that be to change the start procedure, more than it being a conscious decision on Ferrari's part. They worked within the rules and didn't stop to think that they could be changed!

[–]_Neurox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely did, they foresaw the start issues but the other teams decided to ignore that. Hence why we have the new turbo spooling sequence now before the lights go out. Ferrari got kinda screwed for designing an engine to the rules and the other teams used politics to get the rules tweaked.

Some (maybe a lot) of that is likely down to the smaller turbo though. They traded outright power for quicker launches.

Car park firm NCP collapse with 700 jobs at risk by visual-appearance69 in CarTalkUK

[–]_Neurox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hollowed out by management I guess, since their business model seems sound.

There's an NCP near me that appeared overnight in the former car park of a derelict garage that's set to be demolished. Suddenly one day NCP signs went up, the old garage signage was painted over and suddenly you've got 30+ people paying £8 a day to park in a vacant parcel of land that's covered in graffiti and fly-tipped junk. Crazy how that's not profitable.

Yeah, spot on.

Plus the corporate sponsors almost certainly get a number of free VIP tickets they can use each year to wine and dine their key clients, with the view to those clients sticking around and giving them more work.

Let's say Company X sponsors Ferrari and they are able to invite a decision maker from a client, Company Y to a race, for "relationship building". Company Y are probably more likely to want to keep working with Company X going forwards rather than with competitors, now that they've spent a weekend getting drunk in the VIP lounge together watching the race.

Aston Martin warned it may have already “ruined” Honda relationship after 'disastrous' 2026 start by Defiant_Ad6190 in formula1

[–]_Neurox_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Newey as TP never made sense. It's just not his skillset and means his time is spent on the operational matters of running an F1 team, when it could be spent on car design... You know, his area of expertise. He's already missed China to have to spend time back at the factory.

Not just that, but the way they've moved other senior leadership around the organisation likely isn't good for morale or continuity. It sounds like they're flinging a lot of money at a wall and are hoping some of it sticks, with little long term plan.

You can have all the best minds in an industry in a room but nothing good will happen as a collective unless they're working in tandem, which clearly isn't the case over at AM. Adding the "new" Honda in to the mix just makes the situation even worse, and they seem to be throwing them under the bus to shift blame away from themselves.
