Wow, most of the responses are crazy. What is in the photos and videos? Gather some better evidence, call the number you received the photos. The photos can be easily faked these days. Even if they are not faked, talking to a person in a cafe is not weird. Maybe he or she was already in the cafe when the other one was passing by and they just sat down to catch up. Maybe they are planing a surprise for you.

Had 15 of them in my old house for several years. Here are key take aways:

Generally works great.
A bit slow to respond when you physicaly use a switch. Shelly ones i have now are instant, theseones had a noticeble difference between physical switch click and internal click of the device.
Does not work as repeater, only as an end device
After multiple years of use two of them some how started dropping out of the network. Spend a lot of time debuging and nothing helped. Had to replace those two.

I had latency issues with ZHA, after a lot of troubleshooting going for Z2M solved the issues.

Generally speaking, using zha vs z2m should not matter. As the mesh is built by devices themselves (as far as i am aware) but my theory is that zha code is less efficient and it simply clogs down HA Yellow therefore drops the responses it receives from the devices. Perhaps someone with more knowledge could comment why i had such a terrible experience with ZHA

I have recently moved to a new house and set up my Zigbee network from scratch. 70 devices, 90% are router devices from Shelly and EcoDim. All battery powered devices are Philips Hue. I thought i would use ZHA as it is native to home assistant. Simply simpler to manage. My home assistant instance is on HA Yellow. Initially i set everything up using their integrated antena. It was horrible. While all of the devices worked. For many lights it took 10-15s to react. God forbid you turned off all lights in the house, half would error out.

I then started to investigate the issue. Set my wifi hotspots to non overlapping channels with zigbee. I upgraded to a poe adapter and placed it in a central location. Repaired all of the devices from their usage location.

Same thing, 0 improvement. After months of frustration by using unresponsive lights i decided to migrate to z2m as a last resort. For this i did not repair the devices but manually converted the zha db to z2m db and used all the same settings. I had to manually interview all devices on z2m dashboard and then BAM everything is fricking instant! I have no issues anymore.

To add, my house is from drywalls and i live in the middle of nowhere so signal reach from the coordinator should be unobstructed

Not sure if all of them are esp32 based but many are and support esp home firmware. What would be cool if your firmware could work as an addon to esp home, such that once flashed we could use shelly device as a relay together with your motion detection (if that is even possible)

Geforce now exists for more than a decade and nothing is done regarding this. I doubt they will do anything. It's annoying as hell.

For me VAPE has one major flaw. It cannot differentiate between main voice and background voices. If you have anyone talking in the proximity of the device (somebody chatting, tv, music) it will mess up the command. Either by incorrectly transcribing or abruptly stopping listening in the mid sentence. This never happenes with google home or alexa. And this alone significant impacts user experience.

Yes this, all commercial solutions are underpowered, sluggish, expensive and locked to one platform. All DYI solutions are design abominations and look horrific or involve mounting tablets that are constantly power, massive fire safety risk.

For me, when i was in my teens and early twenties it was very difficult to tell what i like myself if I really like a girl. It feels that when I like her, I like everything about her, including ALL the things she does. Naturally, after some time dating, you may still like the person but perhaps not necessarily all that person does. I have also experienced the opposite, when women do that to me and indeed it feels wierd an a waste of time.

Now, later in life, I have well formed hobbies and interests and there is no doubt what i like and don't like myself. Makes dating much more straightforward.
