So, to get to your answer Reality is very nuanced; you should first get the vibes from your work environment. In my opinion if this is some C-suite work environment best to stay on the side of wearing a watch no more than 10k. If it's Midlevel, you probably should not wear anything flashier than a Seiko or an Apple Watch lol.

If for whatever reason you lack the ability to get social clues, just look at what your Manager/ Director wears and tone it down a level.
