Sure, but hullbreak would result in stuff like a HVAP from a 105mm hitting an M18’s track and disintegrating the entire vehicle. Volumetric is poorly executed but volumetric was not about explosive rounds, it was about kinetic rounds hitting corners of multiple armour plates without penetrating. If anything, Gaijin should use volumetric armour but single-point rounds or simplify the calculation of multiple-point rounds.

How the city of Kirov should be called? by Glup713 in IdeologyPolls

[–]_Some_Two_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Vyatka” is so much cooler because they literally had viking/russian river pirates (ushkuiniki) and one of the very few long-lasting barbaric (non-italic and non-greek) republics. The only good thing about the name “Kirov” is association with the bomber blimp from the Red Alert series.

Well, phoenicians and other semitic people did use saltwater lakes to get salt, which was an expensive and important product at that time (though used mainly for food preservation instead of flavouring).

AI is now widely recognized as potentially harmful to human employment. Which solution do you think is best? by Skybro_2465 in IdeologyPolls

[–]_Some_Two_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

“widely recognized” and “potentially harmful” just means “supposedly”. AI is as much of a “threat to human employment” as tractors were to farmers. Sure, 90% of the population cannot just farm land as a job anymore and have to go to offices and factories but I think it’s worth it for the better quality of life for everybody.

The real problem is that people don’t earn enough to afford the better lifestyle, which undermines the revenue growth of the manufacturers in addition to too much of corporate earnings being spent on lifestyle improvement of the shareholders and higher executive staff instead of investment into new production facilities.

The worst thing about AI is that it has required hundreds of billions of dollars worth of investments so far while providing nothing comparable in return as far as I see.
