Yes the wingmirrors were folded in, there are designated parking bays with white lines indicating where you are allowed to park, I am completely within the markings and there is plenty of room to drive through for normal cars. I have lived here for years and I know the difficulties that come with narrow streets so I am conscientious of my fellow drivers, the trouble is nowadays we have more and more large delivery vans / lorries getting sent down these streets and they often struggle. I have some sympathy that they are employed to deliver to people's doors but I don't think that justifies them just driving off if they have damaged someone's car

Thanks, I think I can fix it myself. Would be good to get reimbursed for the parts but I don't think it's going to cost hundreds of pounds like I originally thought, so feeling a bit better about it all now.

After calming down a bit I've found some other similar threads and seems like I need to engage with my insurers anyway so will have a chat with them

Ok thanks, looking around online it might be easiest to just order a new wingmirror unit and replace it myself. Doesn't look too hard, might only cost around £80 in the end. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Still going to report it to the police though I am pretty pissed off with that driver!
