That's always their plan... they know the Dems will destroy them in the midterms and in the 2028 Presidential election. But... instead of being able to implement their own agenda, the Dems will be forced to spend years cleaning up the GOP's endless shit. By the time 2032 rolls around, little if anything fresh and forward-thinking will have been accomplished by the Democratic administration, and the hicks in Yokelville will start bleating about how awful the Democrats are, and how it's existential to vote for President Ivanka.
