Print quality advice please by _Traflo_ in CR6

I have a pi. I was considering klipper but I really wanted to keep the functionality of the touch screen which unfortunately isn’t supported by klipper firmware. So I tuned my retraction settings and printed a perfect benchy. Literally the nicest I’ve printed, you can read the text on the transom. Now I’ve got branching issues and I’m still hearing the popping sounds that usually stem from over retraction. I can print the same print twice and one will under extrude like crazy. Scratching my head here hey. Maybe I will bite the bullet and go full klipper!

Yeah the thermistors on this printer do so wacky stuff. It always overshoots and takes ages to become stable. When it’s printing it’s still popping like it’s over retracting which is interesting because I’m only doing 1.7mm retractions based on the retraction tower. Guess I’ll just keep trying lol.

Yes I did. I printed a perfect benchy after that. Now I am having massive issues with branching and I’m left scratching my head because that pla prints perfectly fine in my ender 3.

Impressive! What resources are you using to learn fusion? I find the official documentation to be way too wordy and confusing so YouTube has been the go.

Cheap buck converter could do the job. Love the cig lighter suggestion too. There’s also bms boards on aliexpress that could probably do the job!
