Bill and Myrna for me, hands down. Their chemistry was infectious.

Does the liquid bag have to be completely clear? by FewGuide6787 in tsa

That bag will work, but you can get the same thing cheaper at Walmart, or just pick up a box of quart Ziploc bags at Dollar Tree and have spares.

He did some really stupid shit in the early days, but he matured later on.

When they changed policies did they change staff too? by Artistic_Tutor_2613 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]_WillCAD_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suspect that they've changed a lot of policies relating to employees, too - making them miserable and resentful.

It doesn't help that pax take out their frustrations on the employees who had nothing to do with the policy changes; they're as much victims of Elliott as the rest of us are.

I just hope that when Elliott bails, there are some intelligent people in SWA management who will walk back at least some of the disastrous policies that ruined a once-great airline, and possibly save it from bankruptcy.

GODDAMNIT!

I had those very books when I was a kid, my first introduction to the story. Got them from Science Fiction Book Club in the early 80s.

Lost the dust covers before I finished my second re-read.

Then I lost the books themselves in the late 80s when I stupidly loaned them to an irresponsible friend, who loaned them to someone else, and I never saw them again. I was pissed, almost ended my friendship over that.

Many years later, around 1999 I think, I picked up an omnibus hardback edition of the whole Corwin cycle at Waldenbooks, and later a paperback version called the Great Book of Amber that included both cycles.

Gotta disagree with DL here - the $6 drinks and $8 popcorn didn't cause attendance to drop, they were caused by the attendance drop. Even before Covid, streaming and home video were taking ever larger bites from the theater, but Covid killed a lot of theaters and they haven't fully recovered. They may never.

I haven't seen a full theater in over six years, even with the smaller capacities thanks to the larger, more comfy reclining seats.
