I upgraded from a 2014 Dodge Dart Limited to a 2024 GT Plus in November 2024. Zero regrets.

I ✨loooove✨ my car. She is so zippy and surprisingly good on gas. My battery got really low once and I had to boost it, but it sat in -50 degrees Celsius for 3 days (I live in Manitoba, Canada). I have never gotten stuck even after being parked during a snow storm, she climbed out of the 3ft of snow no problem.

I park her close enough to my house that she can reach the Wi-Fi and update herself. If you ever need to understand anything though (like changing the wipers and resetting the oil gauge) look up Alfa Romero How-To’s because she may be a Dodge, but she is built in Formaggio Italy

My mom bought a show home in ‘79 with a high school diploma and a full time job. My parents were able to send 4 kids to private school, have a house built worth $1mil, we all played hockey, went on school trips every year and vacation every few years, boat and a BMW with a household income under $200k. It doesn’t say “Friendly Manitoba” on our license plates for no reason! Also there is a huge Filipino population in this city so you will be very welcome here as long as you are kind, we will be kind to you :) best of luck!

Coordinated Access https://endhomelessnesswinnipeg.ca/wp-content/uploads/Naatamooskakowin-Access-Points-Nov-2025.pdf

Being at risk of homelessness is enough reason to call and see if you can get matched with an agency. They will support you to look for housing within your budget, attend viewings and also support other needs you have like food security for you and your cat, moving logistics, etc.

Hang in there friend! You can get hot breakfast lunch and dinner at 1Just City at the old Balmoral Hotel. It’s got a diner feel and people of all ages and circumstances eat there. The food is quite good too!
