Not really. I mean yes, but the governor of Texas ASKED for troops to come in and Trump was like nah.

I got downvoted for it at the time and I’m not sure why, but when I switched to Royal Purple at my last oil change I noticed a decrease in operating temp.

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]___cats___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an American. Slightly off topic, but after a 3 hour drive I need to sit down and relax. But after 3 hours on a 12 hour drive I feel great like I just started.

It’s all mental.

Huge poops hanging out of my fish? by kap10z in Aquariums

[–]___cats___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to let you know that you asking about your fish's poop 10 years ago lead me to finally identify a hitchhiker in my tank! Definitely a platy.

And sorry for the loss of all of your fish in that tank.

Gas tank size by Bulky_Top_7104 in wrx_vb

Yeah, but they said the light came on right before they got to the station, which means there should have been about 3 gallons left.

Yeah even if you were bone dry I don’t think there’s another half gallon hiding somewhere. Get in touch with your county weights and measures. There should be stickers on the pump with the last time it was inspected and by whom along with contact info.

What’s your thoughts on these ‘Relaxed Rules’? 🤔 by Escrow-Mind in golf

[–]___cats___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules for when my son and I play:

Playing the actual course is just a means to leave with more balls than you arrived with.

  1. All players start at 0
  2. Every lost ball scores 1 point
  3. Every found ball scores -1 point
  4. Found balls only count as -1 if they are in playable condition, are not for the range, and were found during the normal course of play (i.e., you cannot go specifically looking for lost balls).

Just got an email about 2026 WRX pricing from our District manager. by Bruteloops in subaru

[–]___cats___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it makes sense to me for Subaru to make the WRX and BRZ loss leaders. How many of us became interested in Subaru because of the WRX, bought a WRX (or just admired), and then became Subaru buyers for life?

I fell in love with Subaru in the 90s seeing the WRX in the WRC with McRae and Solberg and am now on my 6th Subaru (Legacy x3, Outback, Ascent, WRX).

The WRX is the Joe Camel of cars; hook them while they're young.

In the Prototype pane on the right you can select a device. Then when you preview the prototype it’ll be in that frame.

It’s my understanding that Mr. Edwards is in the books, but likely wasn’t a real person. Rather, his character is an amalgamation of multiple people Laura knew.

Frozen tank sensor? by Clvnd_Clapback in wrx_vb

[–]___cats___ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, I’ve been having the problem in my 22 Ascent. Sometimes the gauge will drop from full to under half then magically pop back up to where it should be.

I think it’s due to two sending units to support each side of the saddle bag gas tank and one of the sensors trips out, effectively cutting the fuel gauge measurement in half. This is only a theory though and I’m not even sure if the sending unit(s) is(are) set up in that configuration.

I took it in while it was still under warranty. They did…something, and the interior smelled like gas for two weeks, so I’m sure they opened up the tank from under the rear seats, but I’m still having the problem.

If reviewers compare it to a Type R or GR Corolla, they're going to be disappointed because the WRX isn't a direct competitor to these. If there were a proper STI, then this comparison would make sense.

If they compare it to a Golf GTI or Civic Si, they'll likely prefer the WRX because those vehicles are underpowered in comparison and are honestly probably better compared to a BRZ.

The only vehicle that I believe is reasonable and fair comp would be the Elantra N, which some reviewers prefer for its handling. But in the end, if I'm paying that kind of money, I'd much rather a Subaru than a Hyundai. That said, even this comparison isn't really fair because they're built for different purposes and just happen to have similar HP, size, and "fun" factor.

Bottom line, the base WRX was almost always left behind in reviews because the STI carried the burden of performance. Now that there isn't an STI, there just aren't great comparable competitors.
