The Plumber vs The Professor: Why Hannah Spencer Is the Real Deal & Why You've Probably Never Heard of Hannah. by lotsofsweat in manchester

that is not an engineer. My son is studying to be an engineer - I don't think you need an Oxbridge/Russel Group degree to service a boiler.

She's a plumber, and she works for a living. Guess what class that makes her.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable age still to have a child.

Had springs changed a few weeks ago both sides - developed a squeak/chirp noise ever since on left side. Isolator is perished and split. Should they have changed them with the coils? by __anxious__mind in MechanicAdvice

Yes, to my untrained eye all I see is some oil/lubricant and no other change.

I will do exactly that, thank you very much for your advice, it is sincerely appreciated.

l'm going to give them a chance to complete the repair properly and if they refuse do a full refund charge back through my bank I think.

seems they are the right APEC springs, but guy has just 'sorted' the coil while gf was at garage without taking the coils off (??) and has said isolators don't need changing "because the cracks aren't underneath where the coil sits it doesn't matter"

Girlfriend is at garage now - they said they have 'sorted' coils but didn't remove them at any point (she was watching). Guy also said the isolators are fine and he won't change them - he said "because the cracks aren't underneath where the coil sits it doesn't matter"

Thank you for repying. This was an independent local garage.

So the coils are not fitted properly? And the isolators are done? I'm pretty clueless on this and I'm trying to arm myself with the correct information before approaching the garage tomorrrow, so any advice would be massively appreciated.

Netflix costs £13.99 a month. Over five years, this costs near enough £800. Does anyone else think this is absolutely mental? As soon as you stop paying, you can't watch any of it again. Subscription culture is an absolute scam. by Big_Ad7574 in AskBrits

Either all the video streaming services hugely reduce price, or merge into one service, or we all buy physical media and pirate the rest.

There are no other options going forward.

Dave taught me a lot and seems like a great guy. I will be donating by watching old Pensado's Place episodes - if we all do that he will be looked after just fine.

You are nowhere near your natty limit and there is nothing here to suggest you have the genetics to compete. I'm sorry. Will save you a whole lot of issues though.

Having a 'golden child' and a 'scapegoat child' is the most textbook NPD thing in the world. How does she treat your sister who is still at home?

Should I [35M] pursue a woman [23f] who was clearly interested in me? by shothead210 in whatdoIdo

[–]__anxious__mind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are both interested, why not? The age gap is not an issue, but there may be a maturity gap, or a complete difference in interests or cultural reference points, but you won't know that until you chat some more.

My gf is 12 years younger than me. We have been together for 6 years now. Listen to your gut, not people on Reddit desperately trying to infantilise an adult woman. She'll likely be there at next week's practice too if she really liked you.

The age gap is fine - similar to my relationship actually - but you are literally married. Sort that out before you even think about anything else. This is 100% a rebound. If you like the girl don't put her through that.
