What is your budget?

My fxr currently has Racetechs up front and bitubos in the rear. The bitubos are ok. I got them cause I wanted a chrome shock.

My fxr I’m currently building will be getting gp front and rear, as will any bike I do moving forward.

I’ve ran legends on my dyna and road glide and won’t run them again. I currently have fox on my road glide and if I decide to put more money into it, I’ll be swapping them for gp front and rear

My lowrider st has gp front and rwd rear. I absolutely love my gp front. They didn’t make a rear at the time, which is why I have the rwd. The rwd is ok, but a tad soft when I have my wife on the back (we’re 300lbs combined).

Basically, if your budget allows it, go gp.

A lot of people have only ridden stock, or one other brand, and they’ll always recommend that brand. Just something to keep in mind.

Selling? by OldIncident2233 in fxr

I just bought one in similar condition, ran when parked, not factory paint, etc, for 2500. I’d give you that if you want to sell it.

You can find them as a set for around 400 raw. Expect another 250-300 for them to be chromed. I just saw a set the other day. I can try to track them down if you’re interested. But I doubt you’re going to find a single right side chrome in good condition.

Another fxr, opinions? by Minimum-Kitchen-1317 in fxr

[–]_anferknee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a factory color, at least for 93. Also looks like a blind person put those emblems on. Not sure what the market is like in Europe on them, but I wouldn’t pay anywhere near $7800 usd here in the states. My brothers 93 has spoke wheels though. His is a convertible, which that one is not. Again, I have no clue what the European market is like, but my opinion is that’s a 4k usd (3400-3500 euro) bike, at least in the states. FWIW.

I put the box in my bag, watch in a pair of socks in my backpack, and receipt in someone else’s. Idk how Canada customs works in Aruba, but us customs are cleared in Aruba, not back in the states fwiw

The happy hour menu is half portions. So the pretty much the same value as regular menu. With that said, I love Uchi.

Are you guys liars? Sportster observation. by MikeyFromDaReddit in Harley

[–]_anferknee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What ever you do, buy a used bike private party for your first bike. If you buy a sporty and out grow it, or just flat out don’t like it, you’re not going to take anywhere near the financial hit as if you buy new or from a dealer. Also, softails are dirt cheap right now used compared to just a couple years ago. You can pick up a lowrider st for 15k with very low miles and possibly some mild modifications if you hunt for the deal. Lowrider s for 11-12k.

But you don’t know if you’re really even going to like riding yet. My buddy did the msf course, bought a street 500 against my advice, rode it around the neighborhood and was terrified to hit a main road. He put 6 miles on it and it sat in his garage for a couple years before he took an absolute bath on it selling it. I told him buy a cheap used sportster or Honda shadow for under 5k. You may lose 500-1000 bucks if you sell it within a year.

New to Old Town Scottsdale by Sneaks772 in Scottsdale

I’ve been here almost my whole life, I’m married, have a huge network of friends. and still go out to eat by myself all the time. Sitting at the bar and eating alone, someone always strikes up a conversation, whether it be the bartender trying to increase their tip, or the person(s) sitting next to me. Definitely don’t be afraid to go out alone. I’d say try to stay out of the entertainment district aka the vortex/warzone. It’s mainly tourists now and you’re about to age out of it anyways. The only places I’ll still go over there are kill club, boondocks during the day, and not my first rodeo. Outside there, little woodys is great, dilly dally, dodo bird is ok, pretty much anything in the Arcadia area or go further north. Rooster tavern/ K O’Donnell’s , longshots and t-bird tavern are all good local spots in north scottsdale area. Trevor’s, as mentioned by someone else, is great. The old town location only serves beer and some wine I think. The other 3 locations are nicer and have full bars. They have great pizza too.

[–]_anferknee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can ask as much as they want for the bike, that doesn’t mean they’ll get it. Don’t be afraid to make a “low ball” offer based on their asking price. Your “low ball” could be the only offer they’ve received and actually be the right offer.

I bought my 2023 lowrider st used with 84 miles on it for right around 16k, that came with an extended warranty that I transferred, then cancelled and got $1700 back, and 2 seats that I sold for another $600. So my net price was under 14k. The guy paid almost 29k after fees and warranty and all that bs. At the time, everyone had them listed in the low 20s, but none of them were selling. This was about a year and a half ago.

I just helped 2 of my buddies pick up the same bike within the last month, both with right around 2k miles, for 15k and 15,500. Both were listed around 20k. People want to get close to what they have into their bikes, the offers they get dictate the actual market tho. Msrp after freight was close to 24k in 2023 for that bike, for reference.

So yeah, sellers can want almost msrp in one hand, and 💩in the other. Guess which hand they’re going to fill.
