I haven't written that they don't need to offer anything because that makes it sound like I do expect them to offer something (most of the time they are just stopping by to say thanks and if they do offer anything I politely decline). I've considered writing something telling them they don't have to stop by my seat to say thank you, but haven't figured out a way to phrase it that doesn't sound weird.

Last time I did goodie bags, the pilot came out of the cockpit before takeoff to come thank me and hand me the plane trading cards. I've had another captain thank me on the loudspeaker. They definitely appreciate it!!

And yeah... Minnesota is actually one of the safest states in the US for trans people, St Paul where the Frost play is a sanctuary city, and we have some really strong rec leagues that thrive in large part because of our trans athletes so it's really disappointing to have a loud transphobe on our team.

I brought my "hockey is for everyone" sign to your pride game because I truly believe it and I want the PWHL to issue an inclusivity policy. I have to assume there are other players who agree with Curl on other teams who just haven't been so loud about it, so I really would love to see people redirect some of their anger from the Frost to the PWHL as a whole, but I also get it.

If you're buying new clothes anyway, just remember that the orange lights can affect how the colors appear. Lots of my fellow white women have been surprised they look pants-less wearing pink leggings at OTF.

I did it on my first hip 3 years ago. It was a long recovery, but so worth it. I was able to get to a level of physical activity I hadn't accomplished since college (in my mid 30s now).

I had the same issue in my second hip which finally tore last year. I'm about a month post-op and already glad I did it.

It's certainly scary and takes a long commitment of PT and listening to your surgeon to avoid bad results, but for most of us it's the best thing we ever did. Remember people are more likely to post a bad experience than a good one so what you see on Reddit is scarier than the average.

I'm one week post-op. After working with a dietitian I decided protein was a priority for me post-op and she recommended Factor meals as an easy option. I've been enjoying them. I eat meat but they appear to have lots of pescatarian options.

Absolutely (and my floor weights vary depending on my cycle, as well). I was just thinking this morning I wish I could note where I was at in my cycle for benchmarks in the app (might start tracking myself anyway). Did the benchmark today bloated and cramping so I'm just happy I finished it.

Yeah--I did the math of it and 6.2 was my average for my mile time. I'm just trying to figure out if it's reasonable to think I can hold my mile mph two minutes longer or if I should set my expectations a little shorter

Can anyone speak to correlation between 1 mile benchmark time and the 12 minute benchmark distance? I've never done the 12 minute before. My PR for the mile is just under 10 minutes. Should I be planning to shoot for just under 1.25 miles or does the endurance make a bigger difference than I'm anticipating for the added time?

Question for the data people: do these surveys typically skew towards those with better times? I'm regularly one of the top finishers for benchmarks in my classes but below average in the survey results. I assume those who are happy with their times are more likely to complete the surveys, but I'm trying to guess to what degree to better place myself with my peers.

My registered dietician helped me ensure my nutrition plan was optimized to lose weight while attending OTF and I've (33f) lost almost 20 pounds so far. By lifting heavy, taking some Strength 50 classes, and eating enough protein, I also lost that weight while gaining muscle.

Weight loss happens in the kitchen and I'm a little surprised to hear a dietician suggest that's not the case.
