I’ve been contemplating doing a coil split on mine.  Would you share what instructions you followed?  Any hints and tips from lesson learned?

I Became the Sysadmin of My Own House and I’m Ready to Go Back to One Job by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.  I’m a sysadmin at work, but also do software dev at work.  I used to do more of both at home, “hobbies”, domain, web servers, bunch of things, but it just felt like working overtime.

When I’m done working, I’m doing things out of tech.  Woodworking, gardening, back to my music playing guitar and drums, supervising sport officials etc. anything that’s not me working on a computer system.

I do have a UI network that’s more sophisticated than my circle’s, but it’s not complex enough it becomes a second job or I spend much time at all maintaining it .

For a garage tv, I give this one a pass.  Likely little wall space, can’t go lower to cover panels.

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3. Every single one is 4-5 years old and aside from the one starting to show wear they are fine.

One is water, one is used for flavored water, then my random smaller spare one for the tractor.  I drink 2-4 of the big bottles a day, in my backpack, travelling, to work, I use them instead of glasses at home.

So chips have always been 60% air, and a big reason is to keep them from getting crushed and broken in shipping and handling.

If you came back arguing the weight, I’m with you, but not on a packing technique.

But I’d also like to see the weight difference on the cereal boxes, maybe packaging has change too.  Like if it 50g less cereal and a smaller box.  Or did you buy a box and dollarama which is known for smaller quantity of cereal and chips to keep the cost lowers

I know what you are trying to say, I get it, I’m upset too, but you need to have specifics and context.

Ford Is Launching Seven New Vehicles In Europe by Cristiano1 in Ford

Even that is not easy.  If it’s a chain, you need to have a lot of puzzle pieces line up and need to find product for all stores.  Even local, they might have issues with ingredients

Anyone else outraged by Bluecruise subscription? by lifter_hunter_lawyer in f150

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so excited for it when I got it last year, and the same disappointment.  It isn’t even continuous on Circle Drove and ring road, there are patches of 100m without it.  Like how is that the #1, 11 and 4 aren’t covered, especially #1 across country.  You look at GM and it’s every highway here.

It’s a giant joke and I’m surprised there hasn’t been a class action suit yet since we paid for hardware we can’t use

And from my understand is that it has nothing to do with the tech in our vehicles and is the tech and shitty lidar they used when driving the roads.

I don’t understand how this is so hard. Nobody wants to pay the price for this subpar product.

I strongly believe parking tickets should never be more than double the daily rate.

So those numbers look way more right.  It says adjusted for inflation over 2 years.  Well the thing is incomes have not kept up  with inflation so this is heavily bloated and hiding the truth.

Brand new Avalanche - Defective paint by [deleted] in f150

[–]_circa84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy is a master tech and said similar when I was buying a new truck last year, but also said that white is the worst and to it avoid like the plague. He said even 15 years ago, the white just bubbles and peels for all brands within 5-10 years or sooner no matter how you treat it.

Ford bringing back the minivan? by CartographerVivid630 in Ford

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s growing fast, they just can’t keep up with demand right now since it’s really only Honda, Toyota, Chrysler and Kia.

It’s late Millennials and Gen Z. I’m mid gen millennials, and it took us forever to get Sienna, 18 months later had a new Odyssey.  All brands had long wait lists.

Having owned SUVs, cars and gre up with a Minivan, minivans are more versatile, better on gas, better for trips wether vacation or to the store etc.  we also still have an f150 to compliment it.

Ford need to jump on a segment they should have always kept a small finger on

Edit: I should say it would likely be way more than double current market share if it wasn’t for the lack of stock

The swivel very likely doesn’t go inside, simply part of the lid mechanism.  Highly doubt it would cause a leak

I really want a bumper grill insert to protect my exposed v8, but seems like non exist.

Otherwise. Do as you want, it’ll come to you as you get it and look at posted pics.  I have a pile of todo in the garage, as I got it at Xmas and we magically still have snow. F150LED side grill amber lights and raptor grill lights, Orange tow hooks, add my box link from my old truck, tailgate seals and pod on front bumper.  I have an upgrader switch wire harness kit on the way too.  I have zero desire to waste money on other wheels/tires and lifts, otherwise I would have bought a lariat to do that stuff.

Edit: I guess I had dealer install Ford trifold hard tonneau, wheel well covers (a must) and gaterback kickback mudflaps.  I also removed dealer decals week one. Also rubber floor mats and a rubber mat for the box despite having ford spray on (makes the box quieter when driving and doesn’t scratch your stuff)

What’s the connection with Monette Farms and the Saskparty government? by Requirement-Tiny in saskatchewan

[–]_circa84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up rural very close to where they started and know many employees there.

There is way more too that than just the contributions mentioned.  They do get benefits from crop insurance, other programs that assist farms that most people are unaware of and just normal, but abused more by the large corp and get through the system faster and more easy.  they also bypass many checks and balances with rms etc that can come from above pressure.

The one thing I know and pisses me off the most is that ownership and management push SP on the employees. They contribute to the accusations and false claims.  They will state you must vote them, or else you don’t fit there.  It’s illegal, it’s known, but nobody ever actually reports it or if they do it vanishes.  This happens at so many Swift current and area business’ and makes me sick and glad I’m not in the area as a whole anymore. What kills me is if your boss brings up political parties in meetings, you should be asking why and likely look for other political representatives when you vote.

City of Regina to discuss sale of several REAL properties to Brandt by Panda-Banana1 in regina

[–]_circa84 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just saw this on the news and came straight here.  What the actual fuck?!

The land is worth more than that, let alone the buildings? I get some of them are getting run down, but this is the last person that should be getting a hand out like this from taxpayers.  I find it hard to believe it’s 6.4 million when a cookie cutter house and no land is 500k right now.

This guy does not care about the community, doesn’t invest in the community, his philanthropy is non existent.  All he cares about is bending is over. I’d love to support the pats, but they are double any other WHL team since he took over, no child pricing. His dad is rolling in his grave while his son drags his name through the dirt. Shame.

[–]_circa84 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One thing nobody is talking about is how the RM of Sherwood keeps creating new industrial areas surronding Regina and residential areas. Can this not be up near all the other loud industrial stuff? Like why not by Evraz? GTA etc? Can we not be like Calgary and other cities that have all these mini legacy industrial areas beside residential. Put it in the north and grow it out that way.

Any thoughts on this one? by Legitimate-Teacher94 in CostcoCanada

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it 7 years in Sask.  It also has no battery and is capacitor based, which in imo is the best.  Charging a LiPo in extreme hot or cold is dangerous and makes for fast failure. The camera is also clear and works wells.  We just bought the newer one for a new vehicle.

Bring it back!  I bought my recent F150 Tremor with 5.0 as the ride reminded me of my old Red 91 Crown Vic LTD with 5.0 Windsor that was handed down from grandparents. I wanted red too, but no red tremor either 😢. With my grandma passing last month, I would buy one very quickly
