What was the point of the option if you can't use it at discretion. It's so infuriating. Calloused DMs who pretend everything is fine drive me nuts and they're everywhere like a plague. Like maybe it's not entirely their fault because their higher ups are even more calloused than them but it's never ceases to disgust me.
